EricIdlefan 09-06-2006, 03:28 AM Physcologist evulation of Without a Trace characters
This is IMO, my take on the characters of the hit CBS show "Without a Trace!"
I have now on this day, September 6th 2006 have evulated all five FBI agents that work in the NY Field Office of the Missing Person's unit. And this is what I have believed to have found:
Special Agent in Charge Jack Malone:Head of the FBI Missing Person's Bureau for nearly seven years, John Michael "Jack to his friends" Malone. Is in his middle forties, divorced, two young daughters in Catholic School. Ruggedly handsome. But despite a blossoming professional life, his personal life is anything but blossoming. He just went through a divorce, in which his now ex-wife, a lawyer in a Chicago firmm, accuses him of being unfaithful in their over ten year marriage. Putting him over 100 hours a week on his job. Also not a really good father, sorry I hate to admit. Though he does love and adore his daughters. Never got along with his father as he divorced his mom. His mom really raised him as an child. Joined the Marines after high school for four years(which he hated he told me but he felt he had no place to go). Despite admitting to being a lousy dad, he tries to see them when his schedule permits. Which seems very rarely. Though the girls come to him in NYC to stay on Thanksgiving. Though he is reluctant and very private about his personal life. He also shows dedication to his job as well as wanting to find the missing person or persons involved before it is way too late. Though he comes off a bit arrogant and a jerk at times. Been to Chicago and DC Headquarters. Is a 20-yr Bureau Vet. Working in Kidnapping & briefly terrorism crimes before heading up the NYC Missing Persons Bureau. In a way, he is really mellowing out a bit. Shows compassion on people and sympathetic as there are pros and cons to him. Has had affairs with several agents under his command. In particular, blonde agent Samantha "Sam" Spade. Also is in a relationship with FBI agent Ann Cassidy, who lost her FBI agent husband of eight years to being killed in the line of duty. As she is also pregnant with Jack's child. Jack seems scared even though he doesn't come out and say it, about being a dad for the second time. He is afraid he will be an unfit father to Ann's unborn child, just like he lost his two little girls. Let's hope for his sake and Ann and their unborn baby's sake, he will learn from his mistakes. No plans on marrige for both of them yet! Also noted, recently lost his formerally estranged dad to alzeimers. Both have slowly but surely reconcilled after Jack was so mad that he left him and his mother on their own. The loss hurts him a lot!
EricIdlefan 09-06-2006, 03:40 AM Samantha "Sam" Spade:Blonde agent Samantha "Sam" Spade is a former NYC cop turned FBI agent. Has been an agent since 2000 after being a cop for a little over nine years. Has a degree in law enforcement with a minor in counseling. In her early to mid thirites. Used to do undercover work as a cop and street agent. Very open minder and sympathetic unlike her superior, Special Agent Malone. Unlike, Jack who never got along with his dad and really spent all of his time with his single mom throughout his pre-adolescent and teen years. Samantha got along with her parents and that she really excelled in sports. And really loved the idea of going into law enforcement. While as a police officer, she was approached by an FBI agent named John Michael "Jack" Malone, to consider a careern with the FBI. She finished her college degree in physcology with a minor in english. Then joined the FBI in 2000 as an undercover agent. Then Jack Malone hired her on the Missing Persons staff in NYC in 2001. Very good agent who will use her looks despite not wanting to do that. But nonetheless, it works about everytime. Like Agent Malone, very private with her personal life. But has never been married nor have children. But has had affairs with a cop named Eric, her former partner, and agents Malone and Martin Fitzgerald. She comes off very strong but yet very sympathetic. She is very close to her partners and considers them her best friends. No-Nonsense but yet shows a very good conscience and morals of what is right and wrong. She loves to go shopping, go to bars, and see her family when her rare schedule permits. Showing that she is very strong and smart, if she keeps at it, she will really move up in the bureau! From what I know of her!
EricIdlefan 09-09-2006, 03:43 PM Vivian "Viv" Johnson:Is a black agent and the one with a soul. As well as the "emotional" one in the group. That brings a calming influence on the others. As well as the people they investigate. In her late thirites or early thirties. Was a street agent before joining the FBI NY Missing Persons Bureau back in 1996. Considered the mother figure in the group. Has been with the bureau for seventeen years. At one point when Sr Agent Jack Malone was thinking about a transfer to Chicago to follow his now ex-wife, she briefly took charge but then decided she didn't want to be in charge of the NYC Bureau. Has a lot of potential and great leadership skills. But insists that she didn't want the job for fear of having more hours put in to an already heckteck schedule. She admits also she is the breadwinner in her family. Married with a young son. Worked in Chicago and Buffalo before Jack Malone recommended her to the NY office. Worked in street and diversity crimes. Also just rencently, had a heart problem and nearly died having a heart problem. But nonetheless, went back to work against her doctor's orders to the job that she loves the most. But I am glad that she has taken a lot of guts to go back to work. She has been fine for now but otherwise, I warned her that she needs to take it easy and slow. But she doesn't do anything but that. As well as not let her job be her life, though it is her life. She knew that what I was talking about was Jack's personal life. And how it affected him. Is the mother figure in the group. As she brings calm and assurance especially to Jack in what he is going through these days. Very well-respected and well-liked from what not just myself, but I see in her!
EricIdlefan 09-09-2006, 03:58 PM Daniel "Danny" Taylor:Is a former law school student who quit law school and wanted to be an FBI agent despite a tough background check as he is also a recovering alcoholic. A very handsome Hispanic agent in his late twenties to early thirties. Has a quick temper as well as being funny and intelligent. Is also best friends with fellow agent Martin Fitgerald. Has angst problems due to his alcohol as well as has a grudge against former NYC detective turned rookie agent Elena Delgado, more with that in a moment. Has been an agent for six years. First in the narcotics division in Miami and now in NYC in the Missing Persons Unit. Looks to Sr Agent Jack Malone as a father figure and mentor. Has a brother in prison and could be paroled. He loves but is embarrassed about having his brother in prison since he is a federal law enforcement agent. He still visits his brother twice a month. As he is trying to take care of his family. Gets along with the rest of his family despite that. Takes AA meetings to make sure that he doesn't suffer a relapse. He felt that Elena was responsible over a case and couldn't never forgive her over it. But has since tried to get along with her despite holding a grudge deep down inside of her. As both he and Elena must now get along as they both work in the same bureau. Very soft with kids as he loves kids. From what I see, he wants to make sure that he doesn't relapse into alcohol. But also wants to make sure that he helps fellow agent Fitzgerald not relapse into pain killers as he and Martin nearly got killed in a shoot-out by terrorists nearly a year and a half ago. Both not only share a best friend but are like brothers. The brother Danny had never had due to his never do well prison brother. As I could tell how he really likes Martin and thinks a lot of him.
EricIdlefan 09-11-2006, 07:51 PM Last evulation of the crew from the FBI NYC Missing Persons Squad:
Martin Fitzgerald:Is a handsome baby-face member in his late twenties to early to mid thirties. Father is Deputy Director in Washington Headquarters. Ivy-League and graduated Magna Cum Laude. With a degree in Law with a minor in physcology. All four members have degrees with either Law enforcement or physcology. Was a street agent like Agent Spade in DC and also in Boston for three years before transforming to the NY Missing Persons Bureau. He is also trying to escape the shadows of his father and trying to make it out on his own and is slowly but surely winning the trust of everybody, especially his boss, SAC Jack Malone. Malone also has mentioned that he doesn't like Martin's father although he has never said it to his face though Martin knows about it. Like Malone, Fitzgerald has really never gotten along with his dad. But unlike Malone, who was raised by a single parent, his parents are very happily married. Fitzgerald is unmarried and with no kids like Spade and Taylor, his friends at the Bureau. But has admitted to seeing Spade briefly after her affair ended with boss Malone. But have since the two have a strictly platonic but friendly relationship. And considers Taylor not just a great friend but like a brother. Very opened like Agent Vivian Johnson, and is willing to talk about his feelings and how he feels. Kind of reminds me of a young Malone but little less of not coming with the baggae. Not as angst-driven as Malone is. But still tough, but also compassionate as well as being fair and just in cases he investigates. Has a lot of potential but doesn't have leadership skills as Malone nor Johnson has. Maybe he prefers to being a follower more than a leader from what I see in his eyes. Still trying to escape his father's shadow and will forever as long as he is in this job. Especially under the watch of SAC Jack Malone. Much less to Fitzgerald's chargin. Is seeing me more than the other four are. Reason due to having an addiction to painkillers and admitted to stealing them from a home in which he and the other agents raided. In order to cure his back after he and fellow Agent Danny Taylor were shot by terrorists. Also in a group theraphy session he sees once a week. Or used to. Now he seems them twice a month due to his demanding schedule but also he is getting a little more better. Had been on painkillers for nearly three to five months. Didn't tell anybody about this except agents Taylor and Spade and now me. The Internal Affairs or OPR division nor Agent-in-Charge Malone doesn't know about this. And I don't know if I should report him to Internal Affairs and his boss, Agent in Charge Malone. Despite client confidentiallity, I am torn. Don't want him to lose his job but still, if I don't tell, then I ain't doing my job at all and may lose it. So I may have to do this as it will hurt me more than it will agent Fitzgerald. Plus I do care about him getting help to combat these addictions.
EricIdlefan 09-13-2006, 08:04 PM In this physchologist findings, I found that there are different personalities to these five individuals. Despite people looking at them as condescending, arrogant, feds. I looked at them inside out as people with feelings. From headstrong and a leader(Malone), to beauty with brains(Spade), to the mother figure(Johnson), to a hothead & humorous(Taylor), to one with angst and more of a follower(Fitzgerald). Really I think that this was one interesting lesson and that there are more to follow. Like mentioned below, I will see Fitzgerald more due to counseling him on his drug problems. And maybe Malone at least two more times on his personal life. But other than that, I feel no need to see the other three. Despite Taylor going to or been to AA for more than two years on his drinking problem since he seems to have it under control. Very different personalities though are interesting in completing a team. Despite putting aside those differences and working together to get the job done right. They have solved over 87% of their cases so far. And they will succeed no doubt from the findings that I have seen of these five. Hopefully I can see others like them!
EricIdlefan 10-21-2006, 11:28 AM I don't know much about rookie Agent Elena Deagard
To warrant a visit with her btw but she assures me
That she will make plans in the not too distant future
To see me. Because I want a chat about her and her
Relationship love-hate I call it with Agent Danny Taylor.
