I wasn't buying that NERDY ACT, Helen probably told him to act like that when he came to pick her up and once they left he would act like his normal self-lol No grown man walks around like that who did Helen think she was fooling? This was in the ep
"Don't forsake me, oh my Helen"

I'm sorry If i was Tom i wouldn't have let her go out with him by herself. It just seems like it was planned so that TOM would say NO i don't want to go. I would have said YES i'm going with yall out to lunch-lol

I don't understand people that do that period. I would not allow my man to go on a lunch date with a female. He wouldn't do that, but I wouldn't stand for that. He wouldn't want me to go on a lunch date with a man, that is just disrespectful.
Claire Huxtable did that when she visited Hillman. She went out to eat with a man who was obvious he wanted more than just "lunch"...

I have guy friends, but I would never go out to eat with them without my man. I am old school. It is said that a lady (nor a man) should do that without their partner being there. Or, that if you wouldn't want your mate to do that, you shouldn't do it either. It has nothing to do with trust, honesty or anything related to that. It's just how I feel. I feel it is disrespectful.
Mind you, when I worked at many jobs and law firms, I did go to lunch with male co-workers, where it was just me and the guy, but it was just "Hey, want to go to lunch?" Knowing it was nothing more than lunch.
Now, if I was at home and my guy friend called me up and said, "Let's go have lunch?" I would refuse. My guy friends wouldn't even do that because it is considered disrespectful.

If your other half knows about it and your not sneeking around then I wouldn't have a problem with it. I trust my husband and I know that he wouldn't do anything stupid, he knows how I am.
