The German version is uncut, as was Season 5. Sony still uses the "generic" theme music that is on the Region 1 sets! Ugh.

There Goes the Neighborhood …
Because the Bundys Are Back on DVD December 19

MARRIED … WITH CHILDREN:
THE COMPLETE SIXTH SEASON

Return for 26 Episodes of Mad Mayhem

Culver City, Calif. (October 9, 2006) – The always outrageous and politically incorrect Bundys are back on DVD for another season of smashing taboos when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment releases Married … with Children: The Complete Sixth Season on December 19. All 26 episodes featuring the most wretched family ever to tickle the funnybone are included in a three-disc boxed set. The series will be available for $39.95 SRP.

Changing the face of family sitcoms forever, Married … with Children premiered on FOX April 5, 1987, and lasted for 267 episodes over 11 seasons. Married … with Children still reigns as one of the most shocking TV comedies ever produced and the sixth season is no exception. The Bundy family – led by ever-scheming Al (Ed O’Neil of Spartan), tousled housewife Peg (Katey Sagal of TV’s “8 Simple Rules”), promiscuous yet naive daughter Kelly (Christina Applegate of Anchorman), and sexually frustrated son Bud (David Faustino of Killer Bud) -- continuing to live their daily lives in complete disarray. Kelly lands her own talk show, Al gets a job as a private detective, Bud dates an extreme sporter, Peg and Marcy (Amanda Bearse) discover that they are both pregnant, and Steve Rhoades (David Garrison) returns to reclaim his wife. The season climaxes with a three-part episode in which the Bundys visit England.

Guest stars this season include Joey Lauren Adams (Chasing Amy), Matt LeBlanc (TV’s “Friends”), Jon Lovitz (TV’s “Saturday Night Live”), Denise Richards (Wild Things, The World Iis Not Enough), Traci Lords (TV’s “Roseanne”), William Sanderson (TV’s “Deadwood”), Wendie Jo Sperber (Back to the Future, TV’s “Bosom Buddies”), Fred Willard (For Your Consideration, A Mighty Wind), Edd Byrnes (TV’s “77 Sunset Strip”), baseball player Steve Carlton, boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, football player Ed “Too Tall” Jones, and the heavy metal band Anthrax.

Even though I prefered Steve over Jefferson, Season Six is my favorite season. I love the three part England episodes. I believe this is the season where Steve makes a guest spot, wanting to get back with Marcy, unaware that she's married to Jefferson. I love it when past cast members meet their replacements.

Season 9 is the best for me! Anyways this is really good news, some really good episodes in S6 for me like;

If I Could See Me Now
Kelly Does Hollywood
The Mystery Of Skull Island
So This Is How Sinatra Felt
Hi I.Q
The Gas Station Show.

I thought the England Show is stupid, I don't know how you can find it remotely funny? Anyways each to their own ;)
BTW, the kids on the cover art look more like Season 7.

I never said it was funny, I just liked seeing them all running around England and in the third part, running for their lives. Plus I loved the scene where they're in the store and the song "I'm Too Sexy" is playing. It was a little too cartoonish for the Marcy and Jefferson B-Story.

When the episodes first aired, I recorded them. I remember watching them a lot. And then, if I'm not mistaken, the very next episode (from season 7) is the debut of Seven! Don't worry, I'm not a Seven fan. :)

That's the part I really dont like, them running around in the third part. The "too sexy" is ok though. Who would be a Seven fan? Yep the next episode is "Magnificent Seven", that one is one of the best ones. I loved the part when Zemus says to AL (about swapping partners) "It doesnt have to be the traditional man-woman thing" and later when Al turns to Peg and says "Oh my god I've got another child" :rotflmao:

The Netherlands is one of the countries in Europe that doesn't dub tvshows, the episodes are presented in their original english versions, with optional german or french audio (I think).

that is correct.

The price for shipping 3 dvd's to America by bol.com is € 17,35.

also a good site is www.mediadis.com that is in English.
You can't pre-order season 8 and 9 there, but when they come out (25 january) you can also buy them there.

Maybe i have some more good news.

i discoverd that season 9 has 4 discs instead of the usual 3.
and season 9 has a total play time of 780 minutes while season 6 and 7 have total play time of 600 minutes. season 9, 6 and 7 all have 26 episodes.

so it looks like they have put some extras on the dvd :)

and i looked at www.tv.com and during season 9 there are 2 specials: Best of Bundy and My Favorite Married.

That IS great news....I'm seriously considering ordering the next three seasons (7,8 & 9) thru www.mediadis.com as you suggested. the pricing when converted to Canadian dollars works out to around $40 a set which i think is pretty reasonable. You guys are so much further ahead with the seasons..its going to probably take at LEAST another year to get us up to season 9 here, and thats IF, we're lucky!

Thanks to a two for one special at Amazon, I finally have most of the seasons on DVD... I don't MIND the theme song replacement and the cuts don't bother me THAT much, but I might end up buying the netherlands version or whatever version that is in English and doesn't have it dubbed. But I can't really afford to replace my sets right now either ... lol.

Quick question: On Mediadis.com , they have Married...seasons 8 & 9 listed as 22,99 Euro.

Okay now this might seem like a silly question but, does the comma act as a period? This is important because I am doing a conversion to Canadian funds and it would make a HUGE difference.

Thanks.

nevermind...figured it out...the comma acts as a period. Got an awesome deal on seasons 7, 8 & 9...worked out to about $31 each and that INCLUDES delivery!! Can't wait to watch these (curious to see how long it will take to get to Canada)...thanks again Dutch Boy for the heads up info!

check www.mediadis.nl on 15 march, season 10 comes out on 15 march

@ CHERISLAND

What do you mean with period, i don't understand that??
22,99 euro just means that it costs 22 euro's and 99 eurocents.

CHERISLAND
02-07-2007, 08:52 AM
Hi Dutch Boy,

What I meant was here in Canada, we would use a "period" in the place of a comma like you use. Example: 22,90 would be 22.90

and yeah, i figured out what it meant...sorry for the confusion. I'm really looking forward to the 3 sets.

Great news that Season 10 is coming so quickly as well!! I'm sure will get that too.

Thanks for all your help!

Just got my seasons 8 and 9 in the mail today from Medias.com and am excited to start watching them.(Love the covers!) Season 7 is still on the way (at no extra shipping charge) as it was temporarily out of stock with them. Shipping was surprisingly quick between Brussels and Canada..I'd say about a week from e-mail notification that both sets were in stock again (Feb.22/07) and arriving today on my front doorstep. And the cost for each was only about $29 Canadian which is pretty good considering the latest season available here, retails for $39.95 at Walmart. I will definitely order from them again...in fact I'm waiting for Season 10's availability and will order that as well from them once it is listed.

Just remember you need to have a universal DVD player that is able to play the discs as they are Region 2.

Thanks Dutch Boy for tipping me off to this site! Will be having a Married With Children marathon this weekend!! :) :)

i'm glad that i could help. I hope you enjoy seasons 8 and 9 and later on season 7 (one of the best in mine opinion). season 10 is coming out on 15 march 2007. i think sometime next week you can pre order season 10 by mediadis.

Yeah, my Season 7 arrived in the mail last week...great service Mediadis!! I am having a Married With Children viewing frenzy...just finished season 8, am now watching season 7 and will then go to season 9. I also put in my pre-order for Season 10 thru Mediadis and again got a deal on it...price is always cheaper than what they have listed for some reason which is great!

That will pretty much do it for me as I already have the final season episodes already on DVD from their original FOX airings which I taped years back. It's great to have this whole series on DVD. The only complaint I have is with some of the endings being edited out with the end credits rolling over a still screen picture, when there was actually more storyline occurring...a good indication of this happening is when the end still picture they show is something that wasn't in the episode (ie - it was taken from the ending scene) however again I have these endings on syndicated recordings I made so can still watch them if I really want. Otherwise the episodes seem pretty much complete and uncut to me (again aside from the alternate opening music theme, which I am now totally used to hearing..i usually skip over it anways to get to the episode). ;)

This will always be one of my all-time favorite sitcoms!! Its hard to believe that in America Sony has only released the first 6 seasons so far. If anyone has a universal DVD player I highly recommend ordering the later seasons thru www.mediadis.com.

Thanks again Dutch Boy for tipping me off to the Region 2 releases and for helping me to complete my collection :) :) :)

Rambo Stallone, what they are referring to is availability...when I ordered seasons 7,8 & 9 they only mailed me seasons 8 & 9 because season 7 was temporarily "out of stock". When they got season 7 back in it was mailed out to me separately with no additional shipping charges. What they will do is check availability of all the items you have ordered and group together those which they have in stock and mail them out immediately. Anything else will be mailed out once they get it in to you at no additional shipping charge (this is really a great service feature!)
Sometimes the availability may change once your order has been completed..example...I just ordered 4 items from DeepDiscount..all listed as being in stock..once my order was completed I get an e-mail stating one of the items is on backorder and will ship separately.
You can find out postage by following thru all the ordering steps...the final step before you actually place the order will show you the total shipping charges and it will state something to the effect of "press" this icon to complete transaction. If you find any problem with this, just hit the "back one page" arrow on your page to keep backing up your steps or just "X" out the transaction completely (ie-close the page down making the order incomplete).
I hope this helps....I have had excellent service from Mediadis...their shipping to Canada was quite fast. Good luck!
