Does anyone know about this site, are they reputable or a scam?
Mama's Family complete series (http://www.raredvds.tv/products.php?iProductID=376&iCollectionID=68&OVRAW=mama's%20family&OVKEY=mama%20family&OVMTC=advanced)
I apologize if this has been asked, there are to many posts to read dating back a long while. I would like to buy the complete set and wondered if anyone else purchased it through this site. They say they are original uncut episodes and official copies.

I would avoid that site like the plague. Unless the person website selling the DVDs in question, taped every single episode of Mama's Family in its original run in the 80's, it is absolutely impossible to have a complete unedited series on DVD.
Official copies - YEAH RIGHT. Mama's Family is officially licensed by Warner Bros (see top of page for the REAL official first-season DVD release), and I do not see a WB logo anywhere on the packaging that is shown on the site. Additionally, official DVD sets are required to list the actors/producers/whatnot, and details about the DVD- not just the region coding and the rating, but what frame it is, etc. along with a disclaimer about how it is illegal to make bootleg copies of the DVDs. The site lists that info, but it is NOT listed on any of the sleeves they have displayed on the page.
I am sorry, Heather, but set aside your $150, and just spend $18 for the REAL OFFICIAL season 1 release of Mama's Family (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000GH3PMM/ref=nosim/happydaysonline3-20).
I am not in any way trying to sound bitchy- but I do try to deter people from buying "complete season sets" from sites like RareDVDs.tv. It will only bring you anger, heartbreak, etc. for dropping $150 at once on a "complete series" that is not officially licensed by a major studio, only to find out that the episodes are edited, the picture is in poor quality, etc.
Please don't do it. I would hate for you to be upset over that purchase.

Thank you so much for the information, I have never purchased anything online or a TV show on DVD ever. I appreciate the warning and feedback. No, you didnt sound bitchy at all.

I think these might be copied from old Columbia House tapes, some of the artwork is the same as those. I also saw some "full, complete series" of other shows on another site. That is my guess!
