On the show there were times the guys would play basketball, football, hockey and had a foot race. Who do you think would win in boxing???

I think Jesse would beat both Danny and Joey because of his street saavy. Danny would possibly beat Joey. I don't see Joey as much of a fighter but as the show progress through the years you can see Bob Saget workout. He did fill out through the show and got somewhat bigger in muscle not so skinny when the show first came on.

I think Danny would win. Jesse talked tough, but whenever they showed his arms they were really weak looking. He had no muscles. I was always surprised that John Stamos didn't work out more to match his body to his personality.

I don't think so. If you recall the episode when Jesse and Becky almost got married in Tahoe Danny was saying when him and Pam, Jesse's sister, got married Jesse beat up Danny for it. Jesse had more street saavy than Danny and Joey.

And, Danny lost to a younger and stronger Steve wrestling, IIRC, in "Lovers and Other Tanners." Still, he was 15+ years older against a real athlete, whereas at 18 he was at his athletic peak. So, the question is, is that because he was a high school wrestler ("Steel String Bean") and that's more scientific, with specific moves that are needed? (I've never done either, but it seems like they're pretty different) or is it becasue Danny could have beaten him but wasn't really trying to defend himself against Jesse? (Quite possible, Jesse might have been a foot shorter at that point, and Danny might well have just kept saying "can't we talk about this?")

Anyway, here's how I see it going. BTW, Joey's concept is a comical one my best friend in college had to make the sport more interesting...

Becky: Welcome to "Wake Up, San Francisco." In the rematch you've waited for from our recent race between these three, Daniel Tanner, Jesse Katsopolis, and Joey Gladstone will put on boxing gloves for one round of boxing, as part of the promotion of the heavyweight bout to occur near here. In an interesting twist, since they never could agree on who would get a first round bye, Joey has suggested all three box together. Here's Danny and Jesse, complete with the headgear the Olympians wear, now Joey comes out and he's got headgear and is also...blindfolded?"

Yes, Joey would be just the type to invent blindfold boxing :-) Because I, too, can't see him being much of a fighter. However, if he had the chance to be silly, he would. Very nonconfrontational, but also willing to be crazy at times.

"...There's the bell to start the round, Jesse stared at Joey flailing his fists and punching the air randomly for so long, Danny was able to get in a swift uppercut. Now it's a match between those two, while Joey just keeps swinging away at the air...oh no, the referee has been decked! The referee has been decked, and it looks like he is out cold. Now...wait a minute, he is trying to get to his feet, and Danny is going over to help him, deftly avoiding Joey's blind punches. Ladies and gentlemen, you have never seen anything like this. Aren't you glad?...

"Jesse decides to take advantage of the delay by knocking Joey to the ground, Joey tries to get up, still with his blindfold on, as Jesse gets ready to deal a knockout blow to Danny, who is still holding onto the ref..."

At this point Kimmy, who has volunteered to be the organist - even though they don't have organists at boxing matches - starts playing the "Laurel and Hardy theme.

"Wait a minute, Joey is still unable to see, and he trips over Jesse, sending him sprawling on top of Danny and the referee. Jesse angrily tries to rip the blindfold off Joey, but folks, that's hard to do with boxing gloves on. Now Danny has the edge, and he knocks Jesse down, and the referee stumbles again! He falls on Danny , who falls on Joey, who falls on Jesse..."

After another minute of stumbling and bumbling...

"...Joey almost scored a TKKO - too kooky knockout - early, and now it looks as though Jesse is about to beat Danny as the two are away from Joey. However, Danny's longer reach is proving to make it difficult, as he is eight inches taller than Jesse. he's trying to float like a butterfly, and sting like a...well, a pincher bug...."

In the end, I think Danny and Jesse would maneuver away from the flindfolded third man and have at it themselves, and at that point, Danny would have an edge in size. however, I think Jesse would win the bout. Why? Because of the Richie Cunningham trick, from when he boxed once. Though instead of getting a punch in after pointing and saying, "Look, up there!" - causing the other man to look...

"...It's near the end of the round, and Jesse has thrown something on the floor of the ring! It looks like...dirt? This is one crazy match, folks. While Joey and the referee stumble over each other as Joey against tries to get up...look, folks, Joey has fallen completely out of the ring! I don't think we'll see blindfolded boxing anymore. Meanwhile, Jesse keeps pointing at that dirt, and Danny's staring while trying to punch Jesse, and...the dirt is winning! Folks, the dirt appears to be drawing Danny like a Siren's song, and now Jesse is pummeling him...there's the bell, and Jesse is the winner!" She runs up to him for an interview. "The dirt finished second on the judge's cards, Danny third, and the blindfolded boxer has left the building! How does it feel, honey?"

Jesse: "Great. Just one thing. Never use an Elvis line to describe anything that crazy Joey decides to do."

Jesse

I agree with you Yooch. I do not see Danny nor Joey being fighters because Danny rambles too much and Joey is too goofy. Yes, Jesse had thin arms and too bad he did not fill out the way Danny, Bob Saget, did in the last two seasons of the show. Jesse was not as athletic as Danny and Joey but when it came to fighting I believe Jesse had the edge on both of them. I, myself, is not too athletic but I do enjoy boxing and I do it as a workout with some friends. I'll tell you that is one hard workout.

Danny's a wuss...Jesse would be too worried about his hair. Joey plays hockey, so he's got some scrappiness...I vote Joey!

Why would you say Danny???

Joey is too goofy to fight. I believe Jesse would because of his street fighting way about him. Even though he into his hair but when it came down to his manhood Jesse would fight for it. Jesse is old school when it comes to how a man shoud, be,

What do you mean Jesse had no muscles? In the episode where he plays his cousin Stavros, he's got nice muscles in his arms.
