View Full Version : So who else starts school tomorrow?
gilligan fanatic 09-04-2006, 07:59 PM I am dreading it, this is my last year of High School and I am happy, but I am just not looking foward to it. For one thing we don't even have our schedules yet, they were behind on them so we don't get them until home room tomoorrow morning. That means I don't know what classes I am in, I don't know what friends to look for, I don't know what time my lunch is, I don't know what to buy for my classes, it is stupid. Anyway, I signed up for programing so I will be able to go online during school like I did last year :D (that is if I am in it) Anyway who else starts school tomorrow? I know a bunch of people started a few weeks ago, but I think a lot of schools start the day after Labor Day like my school.
TheGreatPretender 09-04-2006, 08:08 PM I already started school last Wed.
EmoJoe 09-04-2006, 08:12 PM i dont start til the 11th. :woohoo: that's cause some of the schools are getting work done on them so it was delayed.
PrettyinPink55 09-04-2006, 08:17 PM I start tomorrow. Most of my other friends have already started....actually all of them have already started, but since I go to a private university, and we go by quarters, we start later. I am SOOOO not ready to go back! This is supposed to be my senior year in college, although I know I may go over a year, so a fake senior year if you will! Anyhow, I wish I could turn back time to May!!! I DON'T want to go tomorrow!!! :(
Parakeet03 09-04-2006, 08:44 PM Yep, I go back tomorrow. :( I spent the whole week trying to deny it but I realize now that I HAVE to go. I wish I just could have 1 more day...just 1 more day but oh well, it ain't gonna happen. School..here I come.   :D
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 09-04-2006, 08:46 PM I start Thursday. Bah, I don't wanna be a senior.

Good Lord, I know!
Although I have an 11:30 class, it's still sucks. :(
PZelda 09-04-2006, 10:21 PM I start tomorrow. Most of my other friends have already started....actually all of them have already started, but since I go to a private university, and we go by quarters, we start later. I started back to college on August 22nd (I was in school BEFORE the public school kiddies went back... grumble grumble), and some days I start school at 9 in the morning. Other mornings, 10. I consider 9am early...I guess that's not so bad, because I did 13 years of getting up between 6am to 7am and having to be at school between 8 to 8:30. When I got to high school, I had to be at school by 7:45. So, 9am isn't that bad, but it's still early.
I'm still considered a sophomore in college, even though I'm in my 6th semester of college right now (stupid journalism major with many 1-credit classes). It feels like I will NEVER finish college. I probably won't finish college until the end of 2008/spring of 2009, and I've been in college since January of 2004. :cuss:

AllIWantIsYourClutch 09-04-2006, 11:39 PM I started school 2 weeks ago. I <3 college.
dawsongirl 09-05-2006, 12:04 AM We're going on our third week already.
I Love John Ritter 09-05-2006, 12:12 AM I unfortunately start "hell" tomorrow as well. I call school "hell" because that's the only thing it should be called, IMO. I've always hated it with every fiber of my being and I always will. I wish summer lasted forever.
gilligan fanatic 09-05-2006, 03:29 PM Well, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I have some of the same teachers, and I have the same lockers and most of my friends are still in most of the same classes so it really isn't a big change at all.
PrettyinPink55 09-05-2006, 03:40 PM Yeah, it wasn't as bad. Great to see some old faces and catch up with friends. And I really like my professor. We'll see how tomorrow goes.
Parakeet03 09-05-2006, 11:26 PM Today was pretty good for me also. Definitely a lot better than I expected, which is good. It still sucks to wake up at 6 and not get out till 3 but I'm just glad to get the first day over with!
PrettyinPink55 09-06-2006, 12:15 AM The first day is always the hardest! Everything after that becomes easier! So, we've braved it through the storm....sorta! ;)

Hi. Please don't take this as being rude, but you can put school stuff into perspective, at least you are still considered young. Wait another 12-15 years, then you will be considered a 30-something..............not much fun there! I always wanted to get school over with too, but now adult life is consumed with rather boring everyday tasks like mowing the lawn, taking care of the house, paying lots of bills, dealing with business clients, spending hours commuting for business meetings, and if you have kids you lose even more time. But with all the "fun" that kids/students get to have, I would never want to go thru school stuff again, once was enough!
Just relax and enjoy yourself, spend time with friends and experience everything the world has to offer. :talk:

I know, it just isn't the the thing I look foward to after being off for a while, but I understand what you are saying :)
Parakeet03 09-06-2006, 05:54 PM I understand completely how school is important. Everyone knows that without school it becomes very hard to find a good career and just be somebody but it's hard to go back after being off for so long, especially if there are certain people you are forced to come into contact with which you don't get along with so well. I'm saying that out of a situation I'm going through right now, there are things that add to the torture of just getting up early and sitting in a desk and doing school work. Sorry if that makes no sense, it's just my opinion!
Number 9 Dream 09-06-2006, 06:00 PM I started school last Wednesday (I am in college) and I had my second class today. I'm only taking one class, though, so I really can't complain :happyface This is the only damned class I need to graduate and I get to transfer to another school :)
