THE CLASS

Premieres on the CBS Television Network on Monday, September 18, 2006

ON AIR: Mondays (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT)

THE CLASS is a comedy about the lives of a group of 20-somethings inextricably bound together by sharing the same third grade class. Ethan Haas (Jason Ritter) is head-over-heels in love with his fiancé, for whom he has planned the ultimate surprise party -- a reunion with their third grade classmates to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the day they met. The classmates include Lina Warbler (Heather Goldenhersh), who wears her heart on her sleeve and remains optimistic about love although she was recently dumped; her cynical twin sister, Kat Warbler, whose sarcastic tongue hides her kind heart; Duncan Carmello (Jon Bernthal), the well-liked boy in school who is in a band and still lives with his mother Tina (Julie Halston) with whom he constantly bickers; Kyle Lendo (Sean Maguire), who every girl had a crush on and is now happily in love with his live-in boyfriend; Richie Velch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), a happy kid whose life has gone downhill since third grade until the reunion invitation sparked his curiosity; Holly Ellenbogen (Lucy Punch), whose heart was broken when Kyle cheated on her at the high school prom and can't wait to show him what a successful news anchor she's become and how happily married she is now to Perry (Sam Harris); and pretty, popular Nicole Allen (Andrea Anders), who was once in love with Duncan (Jon Bernthal) and is now the unfulfilled trophy wife of legendary football star/BBQ-grill spokesman Yonk Allen (David Keith). Two decades later, a group of grade-schoolers' lives intersect once again, giving them the uncommon opportunity to learn how everyone turned out and to rebuild old friendships.

I am looking forward to seeing this when it premieres! I got to see the pilot, and laughed a lot! There are some quirky, funny characters that immediately pop out! This is definitely on my must-see list.

I dvred this pilot & watched Sat morning. I thought it was wonderful! Laughed out loud a number of times! I put it on record weekly. Has great promise, better than any current comedies on HBO.
Having such a large cast should be a non issue. There were many prominent characters besides the main 4 in Seinfeld. Mary tyler Moore had a large cast as did Cheers. Great shows all. This show will get me watching CBS on Mondays again.

I think that the second episode and beyond will be a lot stronger than the first. From what I have heard, there are people who think that it just wasn't that great, but I think that it was just a way of introducing everyone and setting up the storyline. I still think that it has some real potential!

More annoying than funny.

I can't remember over half of the characters names and I just watched it.

Some of the actors are just plain terrible and the writing wasn't great, mostly silly cliches than are not funny.

The two sisters are incredibly annoying, one yells every single line and the other talks like she has a frog in her throat.

I do like the premise, but the pilot wasn't that great. Granted it is hard to introduce so many characters in only 22 minutes, but IMO there are one or two characters too many.
That being said, i think twins Lina and Kat are great. Lina has that wonderful, sweet "flighty" quality you don't see a lot in sitcom characters.

Still, I'll give the second episode a shot.

If I am not mistaken the pilot was originally an hour long. That would have made more sense and given more time to get things rolling.

Well I saw the pilot episode that they aired. I thought it was pretty but the whole concept of inviting all the old 3rd graders back for a reunion type thing was kind of stupid.

I liked it. I was laughing all the way through. That red head dude was hylarious. "I don't really follow music." Hahahahah. Then he runs over his date!

I noticed the Pilot was really just a setup for the series. I can't wait to see what the show is going t be like. Do we go into their home lives? Do they all become friends again?

I can't wait for the same thing! I think that they are somehow going to set it up so that they become friends and then delve into their home lives too. But, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I think tonight's episode will be telling of what is to come for the show and what we can expect it to be like the rest of the season.
