Hi!
Rue McClanahan will be starring in a new series called "Ryan's Hope." It will air on Here! TV in 2007.
More information here:

I am very excited for this series! Unfortunately, my cable company does not carry Here! TV and I am extremely interested in getting tapes/dvds of the episodes if people are willing to record them!
I will pay for postage, etc. Let me know what you want!
Thanks!

Hi!
Thanks 80sTrivia for directing me to that link!
Agmfox8, Here! TV is picking up the show. The show is based on a short film that was screened at GLBT Film Festivals. I don't receive Here! TV which is why I'm interested in obtaining recordings from people who do receive the channel.
Actually, some people believe that possibly the title Ryan's Life could be based on the title Ryan's Hope; but I haven't seen Ryan's Hope so I can't comment much on that; however, they seem to be 2 completely different series.
Rue McClanahan will play the grandmother of Ryan! In the descriptions I've read of the show it sounds like it will be interesting.
I posted a link in my first post about the show and here's another: http://www.heretv.com/AOriginalsDetailPage.php?programKey=203
So, based on the links, it HAS been picked up and is being developed for Here! TV.

There was indeed a soap called Ryan's Hope that was cancelled back in the late 1980s, I believe. When I heard the title of Rue's new show, I thought perhaps it was an homage to that soap opera! :)
