daughter. They were living in the Nice section of Chicago and his daughter was dealing with a guy who lived in the projects which was in a very UNSAFE for a young attractive Female to be. So it really had nothing to do with JJ, it was the Area J.J was living in and he just wanted the best for his daughter. Now he didn't have to act like he was inside of a trashcan when he walked in the Evans Apt but I could defintely see where he was coming from when it came to his daughter.

I don't think you will get any one here to disagree with you. It was his attitude towards the family that was bad.

Agreed, it was definitely that he didn't want his daughter to be in a bad neighborhood. And YES, they could have been MUCH more tactful about it.

I feel that James was pissed off because her father didn't want JJ to date his daughter because he felt as if JJ wasn't good enough.

Yep, for sure. I mean, JJ had potential as far as being an artist. However, the way they made it seem like all boys in the ghetto aren't good enough for their daughter, is what made them very ugly people. I still agree though that as a father, he only wants what is best for his daughter.

I agree, But he never gave JJ a chance, I think he disliked him as soon as he found out that JJ was from the projects. He didn't know any thing about JJ so that tells me that he didn't give him a chance.
