I stated my anger abt that moment myself. There are lots of ways to make a point without giving away your wife's treasured items. What an ass indeed. He could have offered them to his friend and as soon as his friend reached out for them, James could have snatched them back and said, "See that kids, that's what gambling does to you." The embarrassment alone would have been cool.
