"Miss Yvonne De Carlo turned 84 on Sept. 1, but sadly she has spent the last 2 years living in a nursing home. Due to old age & a couple of strokes, she just could not live on her own anymore. Her son with the help of a friend in the entertainment business moved her to a place where she can receive 24 hour care. A few days ago, she was visted by a co-star/friend & she was sitting up in bed from what I hear. She does not look the same anymore & has lost a lot of weight. The person who visited her asked if they could take a photo & Yvonne declined which I think is best because we should want to remember Yvonne for the way she used to look & that is Yvonne's wish too. I know that you all must be true fans of Miss De Carlo to post on her birthday & I wanted you all to know about her status. So please know that although she is now retired & living in a nursing home, she is doing well as can be expected. Happy Birthday Yvonne! "

Poor Miss DeCarlo. I feel for her, my Mom is also in a nursing home and has lost a lot of weight too. Why can't we age without deteriorating.
