...have a job you love that pays little or have a job you despise that pays a whole lot?

I make s*** as a classroom aide, but I can't picture myself doing anything else right now. I love the work environment (Most of the time anyway ;) ) and I love the feeling I get working with my kids and seeing them make progress and learn. Plus, I get Christmas break, winter break, spring break, a couple of weeks of summer vacation, snow days, and just about any other day when school isn't in session off :D :D :D

I am currently in a job that I HATE , but I make pretty good money, so I can speak from experience, it's better to take the cut in pay to be happy @ your job. That's why i'm going back for my Elementary Education BA. You are at your job more hours of the day than you are at home, so it's better for you, your health, and the people around you, for you to enjoy what you do!

I, too, have a job that I hate sometimes(not all the time), but it pays really well. Then I think of all the years that I was 'poor', pretty much living paycheck to paycheck, and think that maybe I shouldn't be complaining so much. It's just me, but as much as my job frustrates me, it's hard to walk away from the money.

I think it is very important to like what you do. I worked in construction and made a small fortune, but I was always miserable. You can't live life that way.

I'm going to college to have a career that pays pretty much nothing. I know that and I don't care because I love it.
