They probably hired him b/c he has experience working w/ farve cause he was his QB coach in 99'.
But I don't understand why they hired him b/c he was the saints offensive coordinator and they did not win enough, sure he put together some great weapons like horn or mcalister but with those weapons they sould have at least had a winning record or at least made it to the playoffs.

Last yr as the 49ers offensive coordinator he put together one of the worst offense's in NFL history!
I don't think this guy had the resume to be hired as the packers head coach.
