"The $99,000 Answer".

Same here, simply a great episode has everything you could want and more.

My second favorite is Teamwork Beat the Clock.

There are a few I could cite - "The $99,000 Answer," "Better Living Through TV," "The Sleepwalker," "A Matter of Life and Death," "Head of the House" . . .

Good pick. That IS one of the funniest of the 39. I especially like the bit between Ralph and Alice: "You've got fingers in your gloves, fix the silverware". Ralph's reply (and I still wonder if it was an ad-lib) was priceless: "How'd you like some fingers in your nose!?" LOL

I'd be willing to bet he ad-libbed that line. I'm sure that are lots of times he had to do that. What was always open is coming back at Alice with some threat of violence...maybe he could not remember his line, or maybe Alice said something different than what was in the script and he had to come up with something quick. You just never know, because they never missed a beat.

Better Living Through TV, or, as I will always call it, "The Chef of the Future."

The first half is merely perfunctory, but the live "TV commercial" is hysterical.

CAN, ha ha!

I forgot to add that bit between Ralph and Alice to my post but I think it's absolutely hilarious. That episode has a unique aura to it that appeals to me.
I can't quite put my finger on it as to why that is but there's something special about it.

Out of the Classic 39, I'd have to go with "A Matter Of Record" and "The Sleepwalker." As for the Lost Episodes, I'd say "This Is Your Life" and "Peacemaker" are equally funny. I can watch all four of these over and over and never get sick of them.

In the lost episode category my 2 favs are "Teamwork Beat The Clock" and "Ralph's Sweet Tooth"

As for the color Honeymooners, "The Honeymooners In England" (a.k.a. "The Mod Couple" ) and "Ralph Kramden Presents" rank among my favorites, with "Life Upon the Wicked Stage" not far behind.

My favorite lost episodes are "Letter to the Boss" and "Stars over Flatbush". Both contain loads of classic Honeymooners humor and the writing is excellent, with lots of surprises in the story line.

Speaking of "Letter to the Boss" . . . its color remake, "To Whom It May Concern," aired last night on AmericanLife.

But another Classic 39 episode I'd rate as a favorite is "Dial 'J' for Janitor."

It's a tie between "A Matter Of Record" and "Trapped."

Well if we're talking C39 - I would have to say Brother Ralph.

"Well you're so ;) - and he's so :o "

If we're talking Lost Episodes it's either Peacemaker (I like 5 o'clock - I'm takin' it with me) or One Big Happy Family. Ralph and the toaster is one of the funniest moments ever - not to mention Norton's percussion solo.

"Are you all finished, Whoopie Campo?" (Actually I have no idea who he is talking about or if I got the name right - it just sounds funny.)

The episode where the little kid says to Ralph, "Gee, I didn't know Davy Crockett was so FAT!!"

I think it's called "The Babysitter" (?)

Hi all,

I'm new here but I've been a fan of the Honeymooners for a long, long time! :)

My all-time fave episode is "Teamwork: Beat The Clock". It combines sitcom and game show in one (I'm a huge fan of vintage game shows) so it really appeals to me. Also the ep where Alice wants a TV is a big fave. :)
