can anyone give me any info., or a web site, or anything about this show? I saw it on TV LAND for the first time today after hearing about it for years. All I know is that Ed Ames played a half indian named Mango, and the show starred Fess Parker, and it was on in the 60s on NBC.

(I like that classic clip of Ed Ames on "The Tonight show" in the early 60s, where he showed how he threw the tomahawk:lol:   )

...here's some thumbnail information:

"DANIEL BOONE" was on NBC's Thursday night schedule [always 7:30-8:30pm(et)] from 1964 through 1970. There were 165 episodes filmed (the first season, 29 episodes, were in black & white). TV LAND presented selected episodes from the first four seasons this past weekend. Ed Ames only appeared during the first four seasons (until 1968) as "Mingo". The series was produced through a four-way partnership: 20th Century-Fox Television, Aaron Rosenberg's "Arcola Pictures", Fess Parker's "Fesspar" company, and NBC. This is why Fess Parker rarely appears on TV these days- the series (and his real estate investments) guaranteed him a "comfortable future".
