I've had the season 3 set for a few months now, but I just watched the season 3.7 episode "The Fashion Show and my jaw dropped midway through. Don't get me wrong: I'm not saying it was a bad episode. It was a fun episode, but it was bizarre and so unlike the others. The plot definately took a backseat on this one, as I think this was more of an excuse for Doris to model clothes. There is a lengthy 4 minute non-stop musical montage of Doris walking the catwalk and she makes about 15 wardrobe and wig changes. Loved how she sometimes knowingly looked at the camera. This was way before mtv, so I guess you could say it was innovative for its time. I really was blindsided by this episode. Didn't see it coming. If you haven't watched it already--it is a must-see!

I saw this w/ a friend over the weekend, as he has all the seasons released so far. We were laughing hysterically at the audience seemingly having to wait while Doris changed her clothes and had her hair redone seemingly w/ every dress change. Near the end one of her dresses was missing, so she made another outfit out of a garment bag!
I also saw the second of the two-part ep where the millionaire played by Lew Ayres hires her to go all around the world w/ her. She left the job because she missed her kids, yet my friend & I said "Just wait till next year, and you won't miss them anymore!".

Either of you know the music that was played during the fashion show? It's "Groovy!" ...and I am trying to find out who it was by.

I don't know what the title of that song is played during the fashion show. I have the Doris Day Show book, and it doesn't say.
One thing I learned from reading the book is that a lot of the background music played in the episodes were instrumentals of old Doris Day's songs from her albums and movies, but I don't think the fashion show episode was one of them.
