I was watching the Yankees play the Mariners there a couple of days ago and every 10 minutes you can hear a train in the background blaring its horns. It is so loud and distracting.

I have been at SAFECO. I think what it is, it's the audio that the television picks up. When we were there for a game, we didn't notice the train sounds...it has to be the audio and how it picks up certain sounds.

When I watch baseball games on television, I can hear people cuss, a conversation, someone yelling, etc. Then I notice it simply disappears, so the person in charge of the audio must have heard the same thing and did something to block it out.

That is the problem Brian, someone in the audio dept. is not filtering out the sounds well enough.

I couldnt' agree with you more Brian! That got on my last nerve! I watched some of all three games against Seattle this week and oddly enough - I NEVER ONCE heard the train sounds during Tuesday nights game, only the last two games did I hear it. I remember thinking on Wednesday night that I didn't hear that sound the night before. I was surprised the YES Network guys didn't say anything about it. I'm glad the Yankees are out of Seattle now, but I'm not glad they're at Anaheim because like you said - the Angels always seem to have the Yankees number lol

I agree that it must have something to do with the audio setup. Anytime I've been to a game at Safeco, the trains never distracted me.
