Audrey Marie Hilley was a sadistic sociopath. She murdered her husband, Frank in 1975 and attempted to murder her children, Michael and Carol. She murdered other relatives. She assumed the identity of Robbi, a wealthy lady from Texas who tragically lost her children in a car accident. She met and married John Homan in New Hampshire in 1980. After John married Robbi, she claimed to be dying from a blood disease and needed to return to Texas to visit her twin sister, Terri Martin. Marie assumed the identity of her Terri Martin and informed John Homan his wife died. She simply dyed her hair blonde. John claims he believed Marie's ruse until her arrest. She died of a heart attack in 1987 on the run from authorities.

Several criminal analysts and psychologist argued Marie Hilley's behaviour was motivated by the desire for wealth and status.

I saw the TV movie and think it did a fairly good job!
Interestingly, (after quickly depicting in the beginning, her successful poisoning of her first husband) then focussed on the unsuccessful poisoning of her daughter Carol while completely ignoring the existance of her son Michael.
In contrast, the UM segment had nearly entirely had focussed on Michael's poisoning but barely mentioned Carol's!

That is my all-time favorite Lifetime movie! I think Judith Light did a great job portraying Marie Hilley.

"Black Widow: The True Story of the Hilley Poisonings" by R. Robin McDonald is a good book about the case.
