This is very sad news for Angle fans but I think this is good for Kurt. He needs some rest. Kurt has some health issues and he needs to step away from wrestling for awhile to take care of it. :(

with the seriousness of Angles neck issues
he really should not have been wrestling at all the last few years
and since they sent him to ECW which means less $$$$ for more work
its no suprise he wanted out

a real shame, as he gave wrestling an almost legitimate feel:wave:

--The WWE web site ran a story on Kurt Angle's being let go. Angle called it a mutually agreed parting of the ways because he needs to heal up, needs a break and that Kurt has concluded that unless he can get in the ring without pain medication that he shouldn't be wrestling. In actuality, the public reason is to safe face for Angle. This was a company decision. He noted that not only did he pull his groin, but also tore his abdominal muscle on 8/13, all before he tore his hamstring. He said he has no idea when he'll be able to return.

Let's see:

Option 1: Angle and WWE mutually agree to part ways, at least for now. Angle has time to recover, comes back down the road healthy and in better condition than he's been in AGES

Option 2: Angle stays, toughs it out, and either 1)becomes so addicted to prescription painkillers it becomes problematic, 2)permanantly injures or disables himself due to the wear and tear on his body, or 3)winds up killing himself in a scenario similar to #2.

Kurt Angle is one of my favorite wrestlers ever, but I'd rather see him never step foot in the squared circle again than see him permanantely injure - or worse - himself trying to eke out more matches.

It's great that Kurt will be able to recover properly instead of trying to tough it out. Angle will be missed..
