There was a Gilligan's Island movie where Alan Hale Jr was replaced by a "Black" Skipper. Which episode and who played the "Black" Skipper who did a very good job, too. I think Tina Louise was replaced, too. Any pics or is the movie available for sale? Please do not write him out of History, he did exist.

The only time I remember the Skipper being played by a black actor was an episode of Baywatch titled "Now Sit Right Back And You'll Hear A Tale" where series regular Gregory Alan Williams as Garner Ellerbee played a version of the Skipper; and Erika Eleniak as Shauni McClain played a version of Ginger.

Also in that episode:
Monte Markham's character Capt. Tom Thorpe, played a version of Mr. Howell.
Tom McTigue's character Harvey Miller, played a version of The Professor.

And of course you had Bob Denver and Dawn Wells reprising their respective roles of Gilligan and Mary Ann.

All in all a very fun episode and a nice incorporation of a classic pop show into what was then a contemporary pop show.

I belive there was an all black cast of GI for the off broadway show. I am not sure if that was the Brady Bunch or GI though. Preety sure it was GI but not positive
