from what i've read on SpoilerFIx.com, the new writers (completely forgot their names...) seem to be doing good.

I am looking forward to seeing how things go without Amy and Dan at the helm.

I'm totally excited now that we finally got WB or CW as it will be here soon now so I don't have to have my boyfriend tape it for me anymore I can watch it when it airs. Like Susperstar said I am nervous that amy and dan won't be there I hope the new writer keep the show the same with all the little music/movie refrences and stuff like that cause that what makes the show so unique. I wonder if this is going to be the last season for the show if it is that will make me so sad.

Hopefully they can fix that Lorelei/ Luke storyline and send Christopher packing..

yeah, I've been checking out spoilerfix every so often, and the season definitely sounds promising.

Glad to hear that the new ones aren't dropping the ball! Don't think the Lorelai/Christopher storyline will be going anywhere, especially after the shot of her face during the last ep of the season...she didn't seem too pleased with herself after turning to him.

To make a long story short, Amy and Daniel wanted a 2 year deal with the studio, but the studio was only going to give them 1 year. So Amy and Dan left the show.

because all of the stars' (Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel etc.) contracts are for 7 years in total. So this is probably the last season. We don't know about the show they were going to develop....because it wasn't developed.

It probably will have a lot to do if ratings hold up. The CW is hoping GG can make VM a hit but I doubt it because it's already in it's 3rd year. If GG is still big and VM isn't, They will be hard pressed to get rid of their entire Tuesday lineup.
