Well I watched the first four episodes and I'm very impressed. Good pic quality, cool extras, good main page, and an introduction before each episode.
A few people commented that the package looked kinda lame but it's very good in my opinion. Def worth the money. C'mon guys-order up and post!

I got mine on Monday the 21st. The package needs a case to go around it, but it's not a huge complaint. It looks professionally done. The only thing I'm disappointed in, is Gary Marshall's intros. He just sort of says the title. I thought he's give us nice trivia facts and bits of info or something. But it's still cool that he did this.

The biggest shock to me is that Jack Klugman was bald! When he appeared on The Mike Douglas Show" he came out with a comb over. I know they did an episode of the show (in season 5) where he plays Blinky and has the comb over, but I thought that it was fake. Turns out, his hair was fake. lol.

The quality of the episodes for the DVD is great. However, the quality of the actual program doesn't start until season two. And even Jack Klugman admits it. The first season wasn't all that good. It's fun to watch, knowing that the show gets better, but on it's own, it's not very good.

I'll leave this post with "The Odd Couple Rock!" :)

With the DVD cover, i wonder if they're going to do what is being done with Punky Brewster and Family Affair - same picture, different color background.

OK. Love it. My 10 year old son likes "Trapped" and the golden apron episode. He walks around saying "i was the only kid in my class who could spell ZEPPELIN." I'm so proud. Now...

When is Season Two coming.

Thanks, blackbeard & gidgetgrape. I wonder if it'll eventually release anywhere else? I only order online via Amazon, so I hope it'll get there, eventually...

Talk about finally - I received my Odd Couple DVD today!!! The picture quality is amazing.

I hope Time-Life has more sets in stock when season 2 is released. I don't think I can stand to wait this long (3 weeks) again.

It does cheer up your day to find that DVD you ordered in the mailbox.
I do remember Tony Randall also saying that the first season was lacking. I think it was on the Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder.
I like the Christmas episode and a few others from that season.
Wow, when was the last time the show was seen unedited? Did I explode when Felix's Dad (remember that later episode?) had his funny dance cut from a scene. He's all ticked off about the corruption in the bar and Lucy tries to get him to lighten up. She starts dancing, he's still stone-faced angry and unresponding until suddenly he breaks into his dance. Hysterical, and it got cut in the re-issued syndication showings!

How about seeing again the cut scene with Phillip in "Trapped!" where he scares Felix with the monster mask! That scene has not been in syndicated prints AFAIK since someone reported that Channel 11 in Chicago, last showed it around 1986. That was over 20 years ago!
