Malcolm in the Middle was a great show. It makes me sad that it had to be cancelled. :(

I think this show could have stayed if this had been written into the story: the whole family moves to Boston, and then we could have Malcolm living at home and we could have seen him and Reese at college age. We could watch Dewey become a young man. Francis and his wife could have a baby.

True, I miss it but it had a great run. Season 7 had a lot of good episodes and Im glad the show was able to end well.

I had no idea it was canceled. I loved this show. Its sad that so many good shows get canceled.

Personally, I think it peaked in the first couple of seasons. It went down hill when Francis went to Alaska. It went even more down hill when Francis started working on the ranch and when Jaime was born. All in all though it was a petty decent comedy. Not a whole lot of shows can make it 7 seasons now days.

Edit: TVLover--- I think they had to stretch just to make it 7 seasons. Usually adding a baby to a show spells the end of it and they went what two seasons more after it.

I loved this show too. It was so clever.

they should bring it back in like 5 years time with Dewey, Jamie and the new baby and go along with the same madness, and Malcom is in polotics and Reese is out doing odd jobs to pay the rent and always gettign into trouble, all of them, except Dewey he has luck

i have to say that the first few seasons were good, but then the ones afterwards were a mixed bag- there were some good episodes that i liked, some okay-ish ones and some not so good ones. i think that as the boys got older, the show became more boring. also by the time everybody hates chris came along, which is a similar type of sitcom- and for me personally speaking a funnier show in comparison-, it's success overtook the latter seasons of malcolm in the middle. i wasn't surprised though when it got canned, as it had lost it's way towards the end
