Comedian
Bio
MARC PRICE is now finding success as an Executive Producer with recent EP and Creator credits including 65 episodes of “National Lampoon’s Funny Money” for Gameshow Network and “Comedians Unleashed” Hosted by Rich Jeni for Animal Planet.
Although Marc broke out as a national star playing Skippy on the hit NBC sitcom “Family Ties,” he was also executive producer of his own special for Disney Channel at age 21 and a bit later produced segments for Real TV, Inside Edition and Rikki Lake.
His lifelong involvement in entertainment began under the wing of his Catskills comic father Al Bernie who was a frequent guest on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” Marc spent his childhood in the company of his dad’s friends Milton Berle, Jackie Mason and George Burns, so it was no fluke that at age fourteen he “killed” doing stand-up on “The Merv Griffin” show.
Marc went on to be featured in the historic first ‘Comic Relief” on HBO. He also hosted 150 episodes of Disney Channel’s “Teen Win, Lose or Draw" and starred in several features including “Trick or Treat” with Ozzy Osbourne as well as Touchstone's “The Rescue.” In total, he’s written, produced or starred in over twenty movies and TV shows, including appearances on all major television networks such as producing and starring in an entire week of “The Midnight Hour”, a late night talk show for CBS. He also directed and produced the Food Network’s first hidden camera comedy special “You’re Cooked!” and is credited as producer/developer of "Star Dates" the popular reality dating show on E!
This past summer Marc got in front of the cameras again as producer/co-host of “Athens on location from Sprint” for NBC. Currently Marc is combining going on the road as a stand-up comic again, with creating and marketing original comedy formats for television. Marc has just signed a deal as creator/ consulting producer for a new show with Howie Mandels' Alevy Productions and Telepictures/Warner Brothers Televison.
Comments from Marc Price
It's been a while since I was on the road regularly and it feels good to be back out there again. As a stand-up comic I have had the thrill of opening for, along with many other greats, Jay Leno and Jerry Sienfeld. They are amongst the biggest and best at what they do because they share a commitment to be stand-up comics first and foremost. Thats what they do best... and they're proud of it! I am a big believer in the healing power of laughter, and the general warmth shared amongst fellow comics that allows me to feel anywhere in the world that some how I belong.
