These are my thoughts.
Eric Forman - He returned home, with no plans on ever returning to Africa. He wanted to be with Donna and also didn’t want her to give up college for him again (not that she offered). Instead, Eric decided to move to Madison to be closer to her. He got himself an apartment and a job, at a Price Mart. Eric and Donna officially got back together, but decided not to rush into marriage.
Donna Pinciotti - She moved to Madison to go to college. She lived in the dorm, and worked hard, getting good grades. She got back together with Eric. She realized that even though he yanked her around, that they were meant to be together and that she’d forgive him for all the times he screwed up (such as not showing up for their wedding and going off to Africa and then breaking up with her). On the weekends, sometimes the two visit the gang in Point Place, but not very often.
Steven Hyde - He continued to run “Grooves” as the boss. Even he decided to move out of the Forman’s house, a few months after the finale. He moved in with Fez in the old apartment. Hyde’s love life isn’t all that great in 1980. He dates once in a while, but since his breakup with Jackie (and later his wife), he hasn’t found any girl that he really cares about.
Michael Kelso - He continued to live in Chicago. Nothing much has changed there, except that he got engaged to Brooke (his daughter’s mother). They didn’t get married until early in 1981. Although nothing will replace his youth, hanging out with the gang in the Forman’s basement, Kelso has found some new friends in Chicago and hangs out with them.
Jackie Burkhardt - She’s of course, dating Fez. Since they became a couple, Fez thought it was best if they didn’t live together. Instead, just wait until they get married, before living together again. Jackie agreed. She moved into another apartment in the same building. In order to keep her place, she had to do the unthinkable - get a job at Price Mart!
Fez - As already mentioned, Fez and Jackie are a couple. Once Jackie moved out, Fez invited Hyde to move in with him. The two became roommates. Fez continued to work at the Salon with plans of marrying Jackie. Only, he decided to wait, not wanting to rush things with her.
Randy Pearson - He started off the new year a little depressed after being dumped by Donna. But he did bounce back. He continued working at “Grooves” for Hyde. Other than working with Hyde and Leo, Randy doesn’t really see any of the gang that much. He’s found some new friends, and even a new love interest. Once in a while, he’ll go to the apartment to see Fez and Jackie (and Hyde). But like I say, not very often. With Donna in Madison, he doesn’t see much of her either. In 1982, Randy leaves Point Place to start a new life, somewhere else.
Leo - He continued to work at “Grooves” with Hyde and Randy. Nothing else has happened to this guy.
Red Forman - Living the retired life turns out great. He’s living with Kitty and no teenagers of any kind (remember Laurie, Eric and Hyde all moved out). And he doesn’t have Bob living next door anymore. Not much happened to Red.
Kitty Forman - Unlike Red, Kitty missed having Eric and Hyde around - even Laurie. She continued to work at the hospital. Kitty has befriended the new neighbors (in the Pinciotti house). They’re young newlyweds. So she has a new friend to talk to, even though Red’s against friends of any kind.
Bob Pinciotti - He moved to Florida to start his own bait shop. He became rather lonely there at first, but eventually made some friends and even got married in 1982. Bob’s bait shop turned out to be a success.
Laurie Forman - She’s in Canada, whoring it up.
Midge Pinciotti - Living in California, she got discovered and became a movie actress. Only, she became a “B-Movie” actress. Since all of her movies were flops. She found love again and married him (whoever he is) in 1983.
