Just curious . . . what was the story line on this to have both Audrey and Joyce appear? I remember when this show was on Nick at Nite many moons ago but I don't remember ever watching it!

The husband on the show told his wife that she can't be friends with there neighbor. They came in and said that everybody has to have a wacky neighbor. "Alice" kept mentioning how her husband was a "big baby".

...the "Nielsen" family (the characters that appeared in the "legendary" 1950's situation comedy, "Hi Honey, I'm Home") are in the "Sitcom Relocation Program"...and have to live in the "real" suburbs without anyone catching on.
However, the teen-age kid who lives next door KNOWS their TV program by heart, and discovers who they "really" are...and agrees to keep their secret. Naturally, the Nielsens have a hard time adjusting to the "1990's" (in clothing, attitudes, and everything else that comes under the heading "culture shock"), but they survive...sometimes by using their "decolorizing device" to temporarily feel comfortable in "black & white"...and having some of their fellow sitcom "friends" occasionally drop by-- like "Alice Kramden" & "Trixie Norton".
[And then, of course, "Mr. Mooney" came by once to personally inform Mr. Nielsen that he was fired...]

"HI HONEY, I'M HOME" was produced by Nickelodeon (and taped at their facilities in Orlando, Florida), and lasted just 13 episodes. The first six were shown simultaneously [although on different nights] on Nickelodeon AND ABC in the summer of 1991. The remaining episodes were seen exclusively on Nickelodeon in mid-1992.

I vaguely remember this show, however I do remember that I liked it though. Too bad it didn't last they could have done so much with this show.

Did you ever see this particular episode? If so, can you answer my questions about it?

I don't recall if they appear through the whole show, but they do play Alice and Trixie. See link:

TV Trash: Hi Honey I’m Home (http://rowdyc.com/tv-trash-hi-honey-im-home/)

Hi Honey, I'm Home! (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/AudienceAlienatingPremise/LiveActionTv) was a forgotten '90s sitcom (https://jacksonupperco.com/2017/01/18/tv-for-tv-lovers-a-look-at-hi-honey-im-home/) that was a Deconstructive Parody (https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1991/07/19/honey-nutty-charm/b28a2a39-7ec7-4dfa-accf-c1298947a078/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.1ca3b3dffb99) of 1950s sitcom tropes, set in a universe where sitcom characters are real and the main character, Mike, lives next door to his favorite (fictional) '50s sitcom family. All is well and good... except this was a Nickelodeon (https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/os-xpm-1991-05-31-9105310374-story.html) production (https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1991-07-19-ca-2293-story.html) (even though the first season aired on ABC (https://ew.com/article/1991/07/19/hi-honey-im-home/), on the TGIF block) and was instead for kids. The problem is a lot of the jokes rely on the viewer's knowledge of classic television and its tropes. The show even had a cameo from a classic sitcom character every episode, which is great (https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bs-xpm-1991-07-19-1991200137-story.html) if you're a television nerd, but for a kid in the '90s, you didn’t get it. The show was very inconsistent with its theme as well. In one episode the mother, Honey, learns about sex, and another episode deals with sexism, while at the same time there's an episode about Mike trying to get a girl to a dance. This makes the show very confusing on who they want this to appeal to. Plus it can be argued that the main character of the show is Honey, when being a Kid Com, Mike should have been the true lead. All in all the show was a major flop, limping around for two seasons, which is a shame because its concept was very interesting.

I remember thinking this show was hilarious back when it was on TGIF! I wonder if I would still find it funny.
