They haven't for a real long time...they usually just skip it because of its length. I think it's coming on DVD in November, though...

"AsTime goes by"-the one where they bury the time capsule-was the last half-hour one. And, I think they filmed it after the finale.

Hallmark hasn't shown it in a while as tdf4077 said, but who knows, maybe they will when they finish season 11 this time around..

The last episode always makes me cry.

I am sad to say that I missed The Series Finale of M**S*H Tonight at 10:00 pm Central Time.

I agree with the last episode being kinda weak in spots. The last 1/2 hour is true class but there are some moments that just drag. It could've benefitted from being trimmed down a bit.

I think that the last episode was supposed to air in a two hour timeslot and the network was making so much $$ off of it that they gave them an additional 1/2 hour. That may explain why it feels padded to me at times.

Sorry you missed it on Hallmark but as others have said, it will be out and uncut as part of the last season of MASH in November on DVD.

no; what happened was; Alan Alda, who wrote it, had so much material that he thought was to good; so they gave him an extra half-hour.
And that fire scene wasn't part of the script. They put it in because a real fire burned down the outdoor set.

I think When The Series Finale aired on CBS it was 2 Hours and 30 Mintues.

I wasn't too crazy about much of the series finale either. It could have been at least an hour shorter.

Personally, I think it would have been nicer if the series concluded with them putting the time capsule together when they hear the war is finally ending and then saying goodbye. And getting one last practical joke in too.
