The cast of The Bob Newhart Show is featured in this month's issue of Emmy magazine. Bill Daily mentioned doing an interview with them, on the radio one time, and I found out that it was released. Finding the magazine wasn't easy - I highly recommend a well-stocked newstand or ordering it from the Emmy website (emmys.org) by phone or email - but it's definitely a collectors' item.

The article begins with a two page open spread - it's a full 2 page picture of the cast sitting on the film stage where TBNS was filmed, 30+ years ago. All six are there - Marcia, Peter, Jack, Bob, Suzanne, and Bill. They are all smiling and looking extremely happy to be there, or somebody has just made a wisecrack (Bob? Bill?) that set them all off. There's a short grabber blurb on the top of the picture, above heads, and then, you turn the page....

....And there's an article and another great color glossy photo. The author interviewed each cast member, and 3 questions that they all got were: why do you think the show is a classic; what was your favorite episode; and why do you think you could play a (whatever your character's job was). It kinda surprised me that even Bill called himself a pilot (instead of a navigator).

There were other shows included in this issue, from classic TV - Your Show of Shows, Dick Van Dyke Show, MASH, Cosby Show, Andy Griffith, and so many others.

Well worth the $4.95 newstand price plus postage and/or tax!
