I love Steel Magnolias - guess you could say I am obsessed with it. I have it on DVD and watch several times a year. I know just about every line. I am just seeing if there are others out there as deranged as me. :crazy:

My sister and I love the film too... we usually watch it together at least once a year and can quote the entire movie, verse for verse... My fave character is Weezer... she had the best lines in the whole film... :lol:

Claree: "The older you get, the sillier you get."
Weezer: "And the older you get, the uglier you get."

Claree: "I recognize your writing, Weezer. You have the penmanship of a serial killer..."

Weezer: "I'm pleasant!!! Damn it, I'm pleasant! Why, just this morning I saw Drum Edenton at the Piggly Wiggly and I smiled at the [SOB] before I could help myself...

I love Steel Magnolias, one of the saddest movies ever. I have actually visited the place where it was filmed, Nacadish LA. It was a small podunk town whose onl claim to fame was this movie. It was great.

yeah - i love quoting the show. Everytime my spouse says somthing smarty, I look at him and say (quoting Claree) "Very good Lanelle, spoken like a true smart-ass." :lol:

My wife loves that movie, too! She can quote the movie also. It's her all-time fave.

Oh, God, I LOVE that movie. I'm pretty sure I can quote the whole thing too. Used to watch it at least weekly in college.

this movie was awesome, Sally Field just gets better & better. The cast really seemed like they had a chemistry together, that is hard to obtain sometimes. Oh, and Shirley McClaine was hilarious. :lol:
