Skipping over the opening credits. It is fun seeing them if you haven't seen them in a while but I get sick of them really fast. It is great skipping past them.

It is faster skipping through stuff you don't want to see. I also like skipping through the stupid previews, it's so annoying.

I love the Wings theme song, but watching it over & Over again is kind of annoying (Its about 1 minute long)....I usually just skip it, then rewind a bit so I can hear the end of it..lol..

I think the repetitive nature of the theme song is one reason why a lot of sitcoms music intros now are incredibly short or practically non-existant. (Scrubs, the last years of Everybody Love Raymond for example).

Besides the fact it gives more time to sell for commercials, though I'd like to think it was to give more story time.

I never skip over the theme songs. That's one of the things that I enjoy about tv shows. :D

Older sitcoms - yes - I'd sit through those theme songs... Family Ties, Growing Pains... simply great music. Nowadays there's not one nice tv theme! It probably costs too much to have a half decent songwriter compose a theme song.

tv theme songs, like tv in general, have degenerated horribly...even good shows like seinfeld have lame music.i don't think the problem is that it's too expensive to get good songwriters, a bum off the street could concoct a fairly memorable tune for a few bucks....actually maybe a good thing about tv dvd's is being able to HEAR the theme songs, since nowadays credits are always overrun by needless commercials or promos.

over 20 years after seeing the show, i can still remember the "hello larry" theme
