Pretty neat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqLgGfO_9mM). I remember watching this when it aired. Dave moving from NBC to CBS was a huge deal.
In this clip, Dave thanks his guest, Bruce Springsteen, who had performed "Glory Days" with Paul Shaffer and the World's Most Dangerous Band prior to the commercial break. He then goes on to thank everyone who had helped make his show a success, including the network he was leaving on not-so-good terms.
He even gives a plug for his future successor, Conan O'Brien, and wishes him all the best. Dave even expresses hope that Conan would one day invite him to be a guest on his new show (incidentally, he did; Dave appeared one last time in studio 6A on Late Night With Conan O'Brien on February 28, 1994).
After Dave says his final goodbyes, we see him ride off on a horse.
We wouldn't see him again until The Late Show With David Letterman premiered on August 30.
