View Full Version : Famous Serial Killer Quotes
greatgarrett2 08-11-2006, 09:06 PM Just wanted to know, what are some more eerie and scary serial killer quotes?
The quote that stuck in my head was Joel Rifkin saying:
"I will in all probability be convicted, but I will not go away as a monster, but as a tragedy."
I'm just curious, as this doesn't really have anything to do with True Crime shows per se, but True Crime.
Anyone have any other eerie quotes to add?
Ireneparalegal 08-11-2006, 09:06 PM are you serious?????????????????
greatgarrett2 08-11-2006, 09:16 PM Irene,
I'm sorry if you were offended, my apologies. NO serial killer quotes are by all means fascinating; I meant eerie and deranged. This is just a thread for quotes that stick in memories or the most eerie and deranged, I didn't mean to exploit them. After all, thisa is a True Crime (show) forum. But, this thread was a BAD idea. I now realize it and I'm sorry. I'll forget about this thread.
Cheers

True. It is a crime forum. My bad. I love true crime stuff...I just don't have things at the top of my head from any killer, usually it is their heinous crimes that remain in my memory.
Wawwie 08-11-2006, 09:38 PM Just wanted to know, what are some more eerie and scary serial killer quotes?
Scott Peterson being interviewed about Laci.
"I had absolutely nothing to do with her disappearance."
Well, Scott's a killer, but not a SERIAL killer.
Umm...I can't think of any quotes by a serial killer.
Ireneparalegal 08-11-2006, 09:40 PM "I am 100 percent NOT GUILTY!" OJ Simpson...(yes you are you bastard!!)

"I AM INNOCENT" as told to Barbara Walters by ROBERT BLAKE another murderer on the loose.
greatgarrett2 08-11-2006, 11:29 PM "I really screwed up this time" and "I bite" -Jeffrey Dahmer, the latter told to prison gaurds.
I feel better now that I've made it clear I didn't want to offend anybody with this thread. That wasn't my intention.

Awsi Dooger 08-12-2006, 04:50 AM I think this is a great premise.
Can't remember the name, but one older guy who is on the true crimes shows said while walking out of court after convicted, "What's the big deal? I only killed a few girls."
Then our favorite case, not a confirmed murderer let alone serial killer, but good chance of it: "I didn't need to use the phone, anyway."
Wawwie 08-12-2006, 04:59 AM Richard Ramirez a.k.a. The Night Stalker
"I'm going to Disneyland."
Yeah, not on death row, you're not, turd face.

The pay phone one reminded me of the Zodiac Killer once again when he apparently picked up the pay phone and called the police station and said, "I'm the one that did it."

Looks like his wife Doreen will meet him there, considering she's so adamant about ending her life once he dies.

Yeah, and I think they screwed up and didn't lift his prints properly. It's been a while since I looked at the Zodiac case but that's my memory. Zodiac made the phone call not far from a police station and I think he was startled by the ring back which was a new practice at the time. Or am I confusing this with another case? I think Zodiac saw a scruffy man walk past while he was making the call and he described him in a subsequent taunting letter.

No, you're not confusing it with another case.....I believe the police DID ring back. In the movie 'The Zodiac Killer' the actor phones in, then goes. Then the phone rings and another man picks it up.
I believe that's what happened in real life too.
Notice my signature, that is my most memorable serial killer quote. lol:crazy:

Oooh! The best movie ever made is The Shining!

Our hope, and it's a sad hope, is that... well, I mean we need a tip. That's why we have such a big reward. We just hope that someone is holding her for her child and that we can, you know, get her back with a tip.

Is that movie any good? I think there were two or three recent Zodiac-based movies but I didn't see any of them.
Yeah, that Presidio episode from your sig was a stroke of genius on Zodiac's part. He was all but nabbed after the teenagers in the window saw him wiping down the cap after the murder but somehow the cops fell for his story of the frantic gun yielding man. I guess they were looking for a black guy based on a faulty initial description.
I'm convinced the cops did speak to Zodiac but they never admitted it. One of the cops died just months later. I finally saw the other one interviewed on that ABC show on the DNA a couple of years ago, but I don't think they asked him specifically about speaking to Zodiac. But he pointed out the area where the contact occured and you could tell he was still shook up about letting Zodiac get away.
But if I'm not mistaken, there were no murders after that, just the Kathleen Johns case which I believe was Zodiac. Most likely the police sketch from your avatar that was produced based on that night in San Francisco was very accurate, and it spooked Zodiac into retirement, other than the letter writing.
greatgarrett2 08-28-2006, 11:37 PM That's true.....I think Zodiac just simply got scared and he knew he couldn't take any more chances to try his luck. Yes, the cops did jumble up the description of the suspect apparently and they were looking for a black male. I think that aspect is what saved Zodiac. I think if they were looking for a white male in the immediate area, Zodiac quite possibly could've been nabbed that night. I think he just got scared, coming that close to the law. One could imagine the size of his ego that night, tho after he met the cops as he was going home.
The movie is not bad......considering it's an old one (c. 1970). I believe that movie was produced as Zodiac was still killing. I personally LIKE it for the 70s music and 'Budget' effects. Of course, Zodiac never gets caught and is a letter-carrier by day who has 12 rabbits and an alter in his basement. A heavy-set truck driver is a suspect, and is killed during the movie by the cops. But, the killings continue. It comes on a single DVD with other movies on it, three to be exact. The Zodiac Killer/The Sex Killer/Zero In and Scream.
You can look at it on amazon.com:

Yes, i do have the 2005 Zodiac Killer movie by Ulli Lommel.....it's alright but it's just a movie about a COPYCAT and it takes place in a different city. I was a little disappointed at that, but it's a good storyline all-the-same if you're into True Crime, which I am.
Here's the link to amazon.com and the synopsis:

"Synopsis The infamous Zodiac Killer returns through string of copycat murders in this thriller. In modern day Los Angeles, a young man is obsessed with recreating the killings of the Zodiac Killer, a gruesome serial killer who was never caught or even identified and remains one of the most mesmerizing killers in American history."
Both good movies if you like True Crime.
Cheers
Hope that helps.

Awsi Dooger 08-29-2006, 04:59 AM Thanks, that did help.
I'll pass on a copycat movie. But I would appreciate a new book or recent movie on the actual case.
I thought of another Zodiac quote from that night in the Presidio. Actually, not the exact quote but the basics of it. In a letter he wrote the police on motorcycles could have caught him if they weren't competing against each other to see who could make the most noise.
lynnfromgeorgia 08-29-2006, 08:36 AM  I'm a newbie here. But, this is a really clever idea for a thread, so I wanted to jump right in. The only problem is...well, the quote I am thinking of has 'profane' words in it. I will try to clean it up, a little...if I can!!
"I am the most cold-hearted son of a bi__h you will ever meet." Ted Bundy
 It may be "see" or "know" instead of "meet"...but I am pretty sure it's "meet". I'm getting old and my memory isn't what it used to be!!
Y'all just give me some time. I have been into this stuff for about a decade and a half - true crime stuff. It's fascinating.
greatgarrett2 08-29-2006, 11:57 PM Thanks, that did help.

No problem.....a good analysis and speculation book is 'This Is the Zodiac Speaking: Into the Mind of a Serial Killer' by Michael D. Kelleher and David Van Nuys. I've mentioned the book on another thread. Then, of course there's Robert Graysmith's books; Zodiac and Zodiac Unmasked but I would recommend 'This Is the Zodiac Speaking' if you like a lot of speculation.
I have checked amazon.com and couldn't find any recent books on the case, but those are pretty good.

UPDATE: New Zodiac Movie simply called 'The Zodiac'.....just came out about last year, I think. I now own it. More realistic in terms of being based on a true story and with the facts.
