What happened with Carl on season six....He was mentioned when Florida first came back and after that.....we never heard about him anymore....I thought he and Florida had an established life in Arizona...I am so confused.

Carl was supposed to be in a VA Hosiptal in Chicago during season 6 but It never happened. I don't know if it was mentioned on CBS in 1978 and just never explained in syndication. So as far as syndicaion it was never explained what happened to Carl. The story about supposed to be in VA Hospital in Season 6 came from a 1978 Jet Magazine Discussing Esther's Rolle to the Show
