Its like all over the news....she and 7 or 8 other passengers were killed in a plane crash while taking off from the Bahamas...she was there shooting her next video....this is really said cuz I love Aaliyah...well just thought I would tell ya!

i know Aaliyah is not about diffrent strokes
but i feel you guys need to know. i love rap and r&b music. Aaliyah was one of my favorite artist. Just like Tupac she lived alittle of her life.
she were killed in a plane crush. 8 people were killed included Aaliyah. 1 survive but in bad condition. i sing and Aaliyah, janet , micheal and j.lo made me want to sing and perform.

it makes me think about tupac, and B.I.G
even Dana plato. that as people we need to live life like it was last.

That is so sad! My heart goes out to Aaliyah's friends and families. I liked a few of her songs, but when I heard about her death-it shocked me. My heart goes out to all of her fans also.

MARSH HARBOUR, Bahamas (AP) - R&B singer and actress Aaliyah died Saturday when a small plane that was to carry her and eight others back to the United States crashed after takeoff in the Bahamas, authorities said.

Eight were killed, and one critically injured man was flown to Florida for treatment, officials said.

``We find it devastating and most unfortunate that after having this world-famous star Aaliyah and her crew select the Bahamas as their choice location for her latest video, the project has climaxed on such a tragic note,'' said Minister of Tourism Tommy Turnquest, who happened to be visiting Abaco Island, where the plane went down.

Aaliyah's song ``Try Again'' earned her a Grammy nomination for best female R&B vocalist. She made her feature acting debut in the film ``Romeo Must Die.''

Bahamian national television quoted the civil aviation department as saying Aaliyah was among nine Americans on board

Sorrt this was so OT, but I had to mention it. Aaliyah had amazing talent, and she will be missed dearly.

It is tragic what happened. She was only 22 years old and its tragic that she had to die at such a young age.

I posted a reply in Chit Chat about Aaliyah and my heart goes out to all of Aaliyah's family, friends, and fans.

I was watching mtv last night around midnight, just watching music videos, and during they played that Gorillaz video I read that Aaliyah was found dead scrolling on the bottom of the screen. Then it said it was not yet confirmed. Today this morning I thought I was dreaming and I was totally shocked, now on mtv news they said it did happen. That's sad, she was still practically a kid. Like when Dana Plato died, it felt like 10 people punched me in the stomach.
Let's give a moment of silence to Aaliyah.........................

rest in peace.

SO Agree, it is a very sad loss, my prays go out for her friends and family to get through this very rough time~

This is truly devastating. I was up surfing the net all night and I had MTV on when this message came across the television screen announcing that Aalyiah was killed a in a plane crash. At first, I didn't believe it, but then I turned it to CNN and the story was on there, confirming the horrible news: Aalyiah is dead. I almost cried cuz it's just so awful. She was really young. It's a terrible loss for the music industry. I feel really sorry for her family.

i loved Aaliyah's music alot i loved all the albums. Aaliyah and other artist made me want to learn how to sing. She was a role model to me and others. i pray for the Haughton family and the family of the rest of the victims.

They actually determined it as engine failure...the plane exploded in air becuz of engine failure...the news always tries to figure out a way to make it the victims fault.

I keep hearing that the reason why the private plane went down so quickly was because it was unable to carry a massive amount of luggage for such a relatively small plane. Even the pilot, who reportedly also died, stressed everybody about there being too much luggage for the plane to carry all at once. Now I don't mean to draw heat or sound unempathic, but the pilot more than likely, is the most knowledgable person in flight situations since he has to be an expert in navigation after all. Was everybody in such a rush that they practically showed a lack of regard for their own safety that's much more important that a bunch of personal belongings?

Exactly how would anyone know if he said that if the PLANE carrying all the people EXPLODED?

I was really shocked when I found out too. She had just come out with a new album too...next year, two of her movies are going to be released. One of them is The Matrix 2.

yesterday I went to Wal*Mart and was at the CD's section and I noticed there was a sign which said Aaliyah, her new self titled album out in stores 7/17--so she recently just put out an album..I felt so bad...Imagine knowing your gonna die right there and then..I wonder what goes through your mind....

yeah, her new albumn just got released. She also had three movies in the works. "Queen of the Dammned" and "Matrix 3" were finished, but "Matrix 2" was not. So I believe they are going to recast for "Matrix 2 and 3" and her only movie that will be released is "Queen of the Damned". At least that is what I've heard. She was one of my favorite artists, and the music and movie industries will never be the same without her.

The Singer/Actress died in a plane crash yesterday while her sister Anonda will we gettin a tal show on The WB this Fall.
