The man could never stay on his two feet. I mean no matter what the situation he had to either trip, fall or otherwise hurt himself. How could someone so smart act so clumsy? Maybe it wasn't acting!

Seriously though, it got old week after week watching him fall and trip all the time.. Usually at least once and episode he would do something totally idiotic. No wonder he couldn't keep a girlfriend. Who wants to be with a klutz?!!

I absolutely loved the physical comedy. That to me was the best part. They didn't call him Tripper for nothin'.

I enjoyed Jack's physical comedy so much that I would try and fall on purpose to be like him at the age of 8 and 9-lol

The physical comedy he did was compared to the late Buster Keaton. To be compared to Buster is an honor. I don't see how one is annoyed by that. He was awesome.

John Ritter was one of the best physical comics of all time. That's what made him such a great comedian. I personally loved it.

Don't get me wrong. i liked his physical comedy. I think the thing that I liked most about him was his personality. He could be tender and caring. He also had the most amazing heart. His smile was enough to brighten up the screen. I just feel the relied a little too much on the physical comedy. It is one thing to do physically comedy, but focus on other things too.

either trip, fall or otherwise hurt himself.
That must be why his name is TRIPPER! Lol.

I love John Ritter though. He was so innocent looking.

BTW, I love your user name. GO BUSH! :)

I mean that was his character, but it got old. Now seems out of the apartment I like when he does it. Such as on a hammick or on skates, but he fell a lot and after a while it was kind of the same types of falls. He did good at it, it was just to much to many times.

I agree....I don't think he fell every episode, he couldn't help if other people around him made him stumble.

I agree. John Ritter's physical comedy is classic & timeless. It was what made a big part of the show so funny!! He is & will be one of the all-time greats in TV history at physical comedy.
