I refuse to eat off of silverware when I go out or when I'm at relative's house. I have gotten so used to eating off plastic forks/spoons and I just can;t go back to eating off silverware. Especially in Restarunts

You cannot eat with plastic in a real restaurant.
That is tacky.

How can you ever eat with another adult and not expect them to think you are nuts?

Good luck dating.

I can't imagine eating a steak or chops with plastic, or trying to cut any food that needs leverage (i.e. metal fork) and a good blade.

plastic silverware is really meant for picnics...not restaurants.

I always think of how I saw sllverware cleaned in the dishroom when I work for a cafeteria and that stops me from eating off of it. I like Clear Forks that you throw away after eating. The White Plastic forks are for Deserts

Well, I am 200 percent sure that NOT all dishware is cleaned like the cafeteria you worked in. If that is the real reason you won't eat off of silverware, then say so...your initial post stated something else.

Most fancy restaurants and other places use dishwashers (machines, not humans) to do that work. And one restaurant that I managed at, we used an antibacterial soap made just for restaurant dishes and utensils. One bad cafeteria doesn't mean ALL PLACES WASH LIKE THAT.

Do you prefer to eat off of paper plates too?

Are you sure the reason for eatting off of plasticware is becasue of laziness?

i recall a post a long time ago when you stated that.

The only time we use paper plates and cups are an informal affair, like a barbecue, with the family.

Thanksgiving is ALWAYS FINE CHINA at our house.

Good Lord tvresearcher, you better hope you find some corn pullin' hick for a partner because no refined girl would enjoy eatingg off paper plates and plastic forks because of her lil hubby's ideas.

now i do use stryphone plates a lot. It's just me and my husband, so we eat off paper plates almost every night, unless we're having something like steak that has to be cut into or something.

Thanksgiving @ my families is always plastic plates, enver the real stuff, with over 30 members at one gathering, that would be absolutley ridiculous to wash all those dishes.

But otherwise, i'm all about eating off the real thing.

Mon Or Solo-Mon. I'd buy all the DVD sets in a heartbeat.

Who could forget this classic episode?

"Season One, Episode 3: Solomon watches a third-generation VHS copy of Good Times (which, incidentally, is not a spinoff of Maude) recorded from a 1982 syndication re-broadcast. Later, we see him enjoying a meal at the under-rated Denny's Restaurant, where he demands they give him a plastic fork (instead of that hoity-toity, and at the same time filthy, silverware they initially tried to pawn on him)."
