Okay, so I heard that I MUST watch this show by so many people. Alot of my friends and family watch it, as well as my aol buddies, but I wouldn't listen, now, years later I bought Gilmore Girls- Seasons 1-5 on DVD (They were $20 each at Target, LOL). And I must say, "Damn was I wrong!". It's such an awesome show. I love all the pop culture references, and god those girls can eat! I just finished the first season last night, and I'll be getting started on Season 2 tonight. I figure I can run through all 5 seasons this summer, rush through season 6 in September, this was I can be all caught up and watch the new season.

.....Anyway, It's so good. Lorelei is my favorite. Then Rory, then Dean.

Without that many spoilers, is season 2 as good as season one was?

Dean was so possessive and had a bad temper! He was getting stalkerish too.
Rory was doing them both a favor, because she really wanted to be with Jess. It wouldn't have been fair to stay with Dean when she loved Jess.

Well she should have been the one to brake up with Jess, months before. She liked Jess as soon as he came. Her feelings for Dean immediately changed. Even her mom saw it!...Dean should't have been the one to end it. Well actually, I'm glad he dumped her ass in front of everyone at the dance-athon! I just finished Season 3 this afternoon. WOW!!!! Sookie pregnant, Rory falling in love with Jess, Dean getting engaged, Rory choosing Yale over Harvard, that fire at the Inn, and the increasing roles of Lane, Paris and Emily. Paris had sex!!!! Oh yeah, and Adam Brody was in seaosn 3! LOL. Funny dude. And that fight at the party was really intense.....Season 3 is my favorite so far.

I'm looking forward to Season 4 later on tonight. I finished Season 3 in 4 days! If 4 is anything like this, I'll be flying through that too. Looks like I'll be al lcaught up on every single episode of the series in just a few more weeks, in timr for season 7! I can't wait! Awesome Show!

I loved Paris's speech on C-Span after she slept with Jamie and didn't get into Harvard--CLASSIC!!!!!

And Dave reading the bible front and back trying to find that quote Mrs. Kim gave him!

I was also hysterical when Miss Celine greeted Rory: "Oh my God, it's Audrey Hepburn. You're Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina. Just a waif with eyes." Hahahahahah

And how can I forget to mention Rory's Graduation speech! When she said her mom was her real Idol, I got all choked up, LOL. I felt like such a girl! :p

Hey guys, I just finished episode 12 of season 4. So I'm half way through....First and foremost, it's good, but so far it's been the weakest of the 3 and a half seasons that I've watched....Now I can see it picking up, but the first handful of episodes weren't all that great.....Don't get me wrong, they are still good, but I've seen alot better Gilmore than those...I think every single episode has been good up to this point, except for that one episode in early season 4, when they do that Jesus play. I found it to be the worst episode, so far. Was it just me or was that ep a bit dull???

And my favorite moment so far has been the scene with Mrs. Kim and Lane, after Mrs. Kim finds all of Lanes "secrets." VERY good acting from both.

And the last episode I watched, Jess came back, so I'm sure things are about to get very interesting......

PrettyinPink55

Season 4 is seen as the weakest by the critics and several fans. I personally think it was just harder for the writers because Lorelai and Rory weren't together all the time. Up until that point, the two had always been together under the same roof. But with Rory off at Yale, things changed. But somewhere mid-season, they found their balance and it turned out to work really well!!
I still love season 4, I pretty much love everything Gilmore related lol. But yeah, Season 4 was a tough point for the show. I remember a lot of people worrying about the show's direction, etc. But they pulled it off, obviously, and went out with a bang in Season 4--You'll see what I mean.

Tonight I will finish the last 4 episodes of Season 4!!!! I'm so excited!.....Season 4, as I said had a little bit of a tough time the first 8 episodes or so, but it really picked up after that....Some of my favorites are in this season: The one when Jess came back, when Gran aka "Trix" died, and of course, Spring Break!!!!!

When Gran died...Emily was absolutely hysterical!!! Lounging out on the couch, drinking and smoking a cigar! LMAO!!! When she finds that letter from years ago about Richard and Pennilyn Lott, LOL; "Find a box, throw her in, we're done."....."Better yet, throw the old harpy's carcass in a ditch! Let a wolverine's eat her." Hahahahaha

And UGH, Gran married her 2nd cousin!

Spring Break was really fun too; Madeline and Louise were back! And Paris, hysterical as usual: "Maybe later I'll pants you for an altoid." LOL

One thing about Season 4 that was rather disturbing is the whole Paris/Asher relationship. Eeeeew! That's just wrong.

I have a feeling they are wrapping the whole Asher storyline up in the next episode. And Yahooo! Luke and Lorelei kissed!!!!!

Now that I've seen Season 4 as a whole, yep. Great as normal. I loved it. I think I'll rank it as my least favorite, becasue of those first couple of weaker epsiodes, but that's okay. I liked the whole College transition, and seeing Sookie as a mom was also great. And I think the addition of Jason worked well. It gave Richard something to do, that I actually cared about, LOL. He and Lorelei might not have been soul-mates, since all they apparently would do is sleep together, LOL.

PS: Maybe there's a bright side to me seeing all the episodes 6 years later, LOL; I can watch them all one after the other. I can't imagine waiting 4 months to find out what happenes next.

Great start for the season....I can see Logan being a problem for Rory and Dean. Is it me, or is this is kind of repeating what happened years earlier?- Rory with Dean= She starts liking Jess. Alright, so I'm done with Season 5! What a great year. It's my second favorite season. (Season 3 I think is my fav). From start to finish, they were all great...So many great moments this year; from Lindsay kicking Dean out, to the gang Watching, well Singing "Pipi" at the movie theater. Luke was all "What happened to her hair!?!?!" Emily's panic room, Sookie being pregnant-again. "Norman Mailer, I'm pregnant." Richard smashing Emily's car when he saw her on that date, Paris singing "I'm walking on Sunshine", Sookie sneaking into the Inn, just to get some alone time. Watching Dark Shadows, haha!...Kyon? (Can't spell her name) was hysterical, Mrs. Kim slamming the door open to speak with the band, and one of THE BEST episodes ever, Richard and Emily renewing their vows. My god it was great. The bachelorette party. HAHA! That Penis pasta! At the end, I thought Lorelai was gonna bite Emily's head off. "You and Me, we're done!"......And it just kept getting more depressing from there, Rory laying on the bathroom floor crying, that aweful dinner at the Huntzburgers, that intership gone horrible, and dropping out of Yale! Poor Rory Gilmore :(...And that proposal. Dear god!...I noticed that Jackson and Taylor got less screen time than usual. It was afterall, a busy year. And Logan is one of my favorite characters!!!!!! I've been noticing that he doesn't have alot of fans, but from what I saw in his 1st year there, he's cool. (Although I did feel bad for Marty).

Anyway, they had yet another terrific year. I was pissed when it ended. I went through seasons 1-5 non-stop for a month and a half, and now I can't just pop in the next Season, until the 19th. This really sucks! I need to know what happens!

You guys really like Jess? I thought I would because I had heard how he is Rory's soulmate. But then when I watched the seasons he was in...I pretty much thought he was just a jerk that didn't deserve Rory.

Thoughts on Logan???

Logan bothers me... It seems like he's supposed to be the bad guy turning into a nice man, but I just don't like him. Rory does, though... Why?

Logan's one of my favorite characters! LOL....I think Rory is best with him, and I was a big Dean supporter, even up to Season 5....He reminds me of myself. With his parents always on him about people not being good enough. I used to get that alot, and I basically just walked out of my house sometimes, just like he did when they were treating Rory bad....And the way he jokes and stuff, pure me. And how he doesn't really like "Relationships", I felt like they made a character based on me, LOL....And for all you guys who don't like Logan, please don't hate me.:D

Anyway, I only watched him in Season 5, I'm not sure how he is in the next year, but from what I've seen, I do like him. And Finn is hysterical!

Hey guys, I've missed you Gilmore fanatics here. I haven't been posting on the GG board for while, I'm still watching Season 6 on DVD!!! Don't worry, I've been recording all the Season 7 episodes. I'm up to Season 6, episode 14, I believe. I don't know what was the big problem with people not really loving the show last season. I don't think it'slost it's touch, then again, I have a few more episodes until the end, but as for the 3 quarters of the season 6 episodes that I watched, I love them all. I'll be back with a full report in a few days. Hopefully I'll be caught up, so I can post with all you guys again. The new threads are burning holes in me!!! :)

I watched episode 21 a few minutes ago, and really, I didn't really understand why people were saying the season was so bad. The only thing I didn't like about it was the way the season ended. But otherwise, it was a good seaosn imo.

I read something that really made me think... (for those not likeing the Lor/Christopher hook up)...

Someone said that hte fact that they have hooked up SO early in the season, leaves plenty of time for them to break upand have a happy-ending (in GG terms) for Luke and Lor...

also, has anyone heard if this is officially the last season or not???? How great would they be if they pulled a 7th Heaven, and came back for one more season after the "last" season!

I thought it was a great year too! From start to finish. The whole Lorelai/Rory falling out was great, imo. I think it was great to see that. It made the show feel even more real. And because of the "breakup", it made alot of good storylines for the episodes.

If Lor and Chris e**** during November sweeps, they'll probably stay together until the beginning of February sweeps. That leaves from Februrary to May to give us a happy ending...I just hope that if Lorelai and Luke do get married, it won't seemed rushed, a little like Lane's wedding was.

I haven't heard, I watched an interview with Lauren that she did in September, and she said that she had no idea if the show would come back. But, I've read that Alexis wants to move on so I guess we won't know the future of the show for a while. I'd love if they pulled a 7th Heaven too...GG deserves another season!

It hasn't been confirmed by The CW or by any of the Gilmore Cast and Crew. Lauren was on "Entertainment Tonight" (I beieve...) a few weeks ago, and she said she's not sure if tis will be the last year or not. She said, her and Alexis will have to sit down and have a big talk. She said she won't do the show without Alexis, just like Alexis won't do the show without her....And I haven't heard anything from the press about the show ending. Gilmor emanaged to climb to the #2 Highest Rated CW show this season, so far, and that's a great thing, considering we are in the 7th Year. They just might "pull a 7th Heaven" if the show is still doing great during the year. (Which I think it will.)

As far as the whole Lor/Christopher thing, I'm sorry, but te way Luke treated her last season, I have to say, I'm glad she did waht she did. (I haven't seen any Season 7 eps yet. I just finished Season 6, so I don't know how it all has unfolded, but as far as the S6 Finale goes,- Good for Lorelai!

So Season 6 was......GREAT! Lorelai and Rory not talking- those episodes were really good. That was a daring move they did with that storyline, and it really paid off in a good way. Season 6 had so many memorable moments; like Mrs. Kim drinking with Lane, when Lane and Zach broke up. Her closing all the blinds in the house- moving that dresser, lmao, was classic. And how can you not love her and Zach trying to make a hit song? How can we forget Paris' office? LOL. Or her, Doyle, and Rory's apartment! The duop group. Those locks on the door. They had Kick the door twice! Hahahah....Sookie and Jackson running with the bags of pot all around the neighborhood was also hysterical. The sadness just kept coming during season 6. Lorelai shopping for a wedding dress, Emily and Richard went to buy Lor a house, the whole Lorelai/Luke/April situation was all very very sad. I don't really like April. I like her mom though. You can see why Luke liked her> she was similar to Lorelai. The only thing I didn't like about the mom was when she and Lor had that talk, and she kinda told Lor off. That wasn't nice.....Speaking of Emily and Richard, "Friday Night's Alright For Fighting" had some of the best scenes from the series in it. The table scenes were hilarious. And the camera movements just made it work so well. Also, Lane's wedding episode is up there with the top 10 from the entire series. It was great. Funny, touching, and the end scene with Lorelai's speech was just plain sad...> Which brings me to Christopher. I never did NOT like the guy, and I still don't get what the hatred for him frmo alot of fans are. He really cares about her. He always has, even when he had his own fiance and baby. You can see that they were setting up the Lor/Chris relationship for alot of Season 6. I kinda have respect for the guy. Luke treated Lorelai horrible for much of the second half of the season. He didn't get her a Valentine's Day gift for the weekend away? Are you serious? And hiding her away from April? That wasn;t called for. I can see why she gave him that choice at the end of the season, and why she did what she did.

My favorite 6 Episodes from Season 6 are:
"21 Is The Lonliest Number"
"The Perfect Dress"
"Friday Night's Alright For Fighting"
"I'm Ok, You're Ok"
"I Get A Sidekick Out Of You"
"Super Cool Party People"
