I love this show. I have been a fan ever since it debuted. However, the Tommy character annoyed me so much whenever he yelled at his dad or how he would get into his face. I know Tommy is supposed to be rebel-like, defiant and so forth, but the way Tom would try to be loving and gentle with him when trying to reason or talk to him and Tommy would blow up. A good example of this is when Tommy wants to marry that young pregnant girl and Tom is trying to convince him otherwise.

Maybe Tommy still had anger inside him that wasn't dealt with, him losing his mother and Tom marrying Abby. It took him awhile to accept her.

That kind of irrational behavior is common with teenagers.
