Even though I didn't regularly watch the cartoon version of Jeannie, I do remember the character Babu, who was voiced by Joe Besser. He later turned up in episodes of Laff-a-Lympics where he used his catch phrase "Yapple dapple!"

...I remember the 16 episode "JEANNIE" series. I guess "Teen Jeannie" was the best thing about the show, because everything else about it, at least to me these days, didn't quite equal her exuberance or sexiness. Babu was okay, but so is Tabasco sauce if you use it sparingly! He certainly helped those "LAFF-A-LYMPICS" later on [but "Jeannie" couldn't be part of it because her character, "teen" or "original live-action edition", was- and is- owned by Sony/Columbia. Babu was created by Hanna-Barbera's staff, so they could use HIM].
