I love King Of Queens and I really want the dvds but the only thing that is stopping me is seasons 1-4 (I have no idea why 5 doesn't) have RCE. Although I have a multi-region dvd player RCE prevents the dvds from working on some multi-region dvd players. My question is - even if they didn't work on my dvd player could I watch them on the computer or will RCE get in the way therre too?

roz11, try this to resolve your problem: RCE (http://www.barrel-of-monkeys.com/graphics/prod/dvdplayers/rce.html)

Then we'll just copy and paste.

RCE / REA Information
RCE / REA is an enhanced region protection system that is used on some discs. This additional coding on DVD discs is designed to confuse a multiregion DVD player so it won't be able to play these discs. So far only a few titles have this coding system. We don't think that RCE / REA will be widely added on many new titles. More likely it will vanish.

Currently, only Warner Home Video and Columbia Tristar are experimenting with RCE / REA. We believe that none of our customers will ever encounter this problem. Our new generation players will resolve it automatically.

The RCE / REA is noticed on a multiregion DVD player when a disk will not play, and one of the two error messages will show:

1. A "wrong region" text will be printed on the screen.
2. Or a world map will appear on the screen saying that "This DVD Disk is not intended to be played on a 'code free' multiregion player".

DVD Players with manual region selection:

To resolve the problem you just select the disk's official region manually.
For example: For "The Patriot" disk change the player setting from "Multiregion" or "Bypass" or "Code Free" to "1"

DVD Players with automatic region selection:

In most of the new generation multiregion DVD players, the problem is automatically resolved. The player's "region detector" will simulates selection and setting of the player to the region required by the disk.
