Last week i sent an email to Matt Roush from the ask Matt column in the TV guide.
I wanted to see what i could find out about Freddie Jr. sitcom.
This is the response i got:

canceled for low ratings and because abc is going a different way (as in: no laugh track/studio audience/etc) with its new comedies. it's not coming back anywhere.

I was thrilled to see the new comedy Freddie Prinze Jr had going, Freddie was a very funny show that seemed to get better every week. I heard it was going to be renewed for another season; but now I hear it's been cancelled! Why is it being cancelled and do you know if any other stations are going to air it? Angie

Though it was not ther response i had hoped for, i am glad that he took the time to reply that is more than the people at TV Land ever did.
I don't understand what he means though by going in a different direction without laugh tracks and studio audiences, what other things can they do

What a bummer! A lot of the new shows just aren't as good nowdays; I guess they want to turn everything around... Freddie was a good show, though.
