queenFrostine278 07-31-2006, 04:28 PM my favorite season. SO exciting!!!!!!!!!!
_Jack&Janet_ 08-01-2006, 05:22 AM Does it have bloopers?! I hope is does!
Heidi Dawn 08-01-2006, 12:10 PM It won't be long and we'll have the complete series of Three's Company.
Terri Cardellini 08-01-2006, 11:30 PM WOW! Time went by SOOOO fast. I remember when we were waiting for season 1 lol
_Jack&Janet_ 08-02-2006, 01:48 PM It comes out at the same time CSI season 6 does!!! YAYNESS!!
TVFactFan 08-02-2006, 02:06 PM It won't be long and we'll have the complete series of Three's Company.
Not so fast, there were 9 seasons of Three's company so it won;t be completed by October
ikhuri 08-02-2006, 02:23 PM The ninth season you're referring to is actually "Three's a Crowd".

Right and until TAC is released on DVD, TC will not be complete on DVD
Adamantium 08-02-2006, 08:04 PM Right and until TAC is released on DVD, TC will not be complete on DVD
I kind of feel the same way. It'll be GREAT to have all eight seasons of "Three's Company." But it won't really be complete without the year where Jack lives with Vicki. Maybe if the final episode didn't revolve around "Three's a Crowd." But the final scene of TC is setting up TAC. So you have to have it.
Of course it won't REALLY be complete without The Ropers as well.
I feel the same way about The Andy Griffith Show. It won't be complete without the three Mayberry R.F.D. seasons. Because, if the show wasn't named after Andy Griffith, chances are it would have kept it's name (whatever it would have been called) and probably aired in syndication along with the first eight seasons.
Ron Ron 08-02-2006, 08:11 PM I only want The Ropers. Three's a Crowd was not TC. TAC was horrible. I didnt like it at all. I stop watching after TC went off the air. So after season 8 I will have all of TC. But I hope they do release the Ropers on DVD. I would purchase that DVD.
Pavan 08-02-2006, 09:12 PM We need both spinoffs on DVD, but Three's a Crowd was a bit better I think.
Adamantium 08-02-2006, 09:22 PM We need both spinoffs on DVD, but Three's a Crowd was a bit better I think.
I grew up with Three's Company and The Ropers. I've never really seen Three's a Crowd. However, since it's a continuation of the Jack Tripper character, I can't imagine it being bad. Different and maybe something some Three's Company fans wouldn't like. But it's a show I'd definitly buy on DVD and I hope they release it shortly after they release season 8.
My plan is to watch Three's Company starting from the begining. I'll watch a few a night. Once season four of TC starts, I'll blend in The Ropers to play right next to TC. That will run it's course. And when TC ends, I'll go straight to TAC. I'll get the full experience that way. :)

That's what I want to do too. I've only seen a few episodes of The Ropers so I can't comment to much on that but I did enjoy TAC. It wasn't as good as TC but it was entertaining. The only person I didn't care for was Vicky but at least she was pretty.

I disagree, the Ropers is connected to TC because it's a spinoff but really not apart of three's company to say it will complete the series if it came out on DVD.

No, you're right.
It's kind of like "All in the Family." You'd have to have "Archie Bunker's Place" to have a complete AITF set. However, you wouldn't need to have The Jeffersons or Maude. But you'd want them (I'm assuming).
However, I still want both spin-offs. Afterall, two episodes of The Ropers have the Three's Company trio in it.
TVFactFan 08-02-2006, 10:32 PM No, you're right.

Only one episode of the Ropers has the Trio in it. Another ep of the Ropers has Larry in it

I can't believe that it only took almost 3 years to make to the 8th season:eek:

Janet Tripper 08-06-2006, 04:10 PM I hope the bloopers are right!!!! I would love to see those!!!!!
Pavan 08-06-2006, 04:16 PM The extras information is not available yet. I should get something soon.
TV DVD Fan 08-06-2006, 08:11 PM How would that reviewer have gotten his info? Do you think one would make up something like that?
Pavan 08-06-2006, 10:03 PM Terri is spelled with an i, not a y. So could be made up.
TV DVD Fan 08-07-2006, 11:43 AM Good point.
Terri Cardellini 08-07-2006, 04:08 PM Aw... darn...... well, *crosses fingers* for bloopers...

I'm almost positive that this list of extras is correct--- TSoD isn't known for being a rumor mill. But we're back to no commentaries again? First we had a hiatus from them in season five, and now, in this final and crucial season, they decide to omit them again?

It would be kind of dull to have them with Vicky-lol
Pavan 08-09-2006, 02:46 PM I'm sure it is correct, but I will wait until I get something from Anchor Bay. I should get that and the art soon.
Heidi Dawn 08-10-2006, 07:47 AM It'll be interesting to see what the cover art will look like.

That picture would look great on the cover of the final season!!! Maybe they should include Larry and Mr. Furley somehow.
Pavan 08-22-2006, 10:03 AM Date is now October 3. One week earlier than planned.
The Final Season Is Full Of Outrageous Fun, Sexy Surprises And Exclusive New Extras!
It’s the unforgettable concluding season that began with Jack (Emmy® winner John Ritter) narrowly escaping marriage and children and ended with the finale in which he proposes to the woman he loves. In between, there were plenty of mistaken identities, sexual shenanigans, falls over furniture and even a visit from Jack’s dad! But why are Janet (Joyce DeWitt) and Larry (Richard Kline) pretending to be French? How far will Terri (Priscilla Barnes) go to get a promotion? What happens when Jack and Mr. Furley (Don Knotts) get locked in the freezer? How did Jack get a tattoo on his derriere? And who is ‘Grandma Tripper’ and why is she being forced to bake cookies? Joanna Kerns, Rita Wilson, Mary Cadorette, Dick Shawn, Lana Clarkson and Robert Mandan co-star in these 21 episodes, including the double-length concluding episode, that bid a final farewell to the hilarious and beloved sitcom that changed television forever!
DVDFreaker 08-22-2006, 12:35 PM Nice cover art
Heidi Dawn 08-22-2006, 03:50 PM I like the light blue shade for season eight. I'm glad they used that trio picture, I was hoping that's the one that would be used.
_Jack&Janet_ 08-22-2006, 07:40 PM i still think black or white would have been cool.. but i like it :)
Janet Tripper 08-22-2006, 08:26 PM i still think black or white would have been cool.. but i like it :)
I love black and white pix and it would have been cool but I totally love this pix!!! Totally JJ cute!!!
Terri Cardellini 08-22-2006, 09:39 PM AWWWWWWWW that's my favorite cast pic... so glad they used it :D :D :D
Chain Gang Member 08-23-2006, 08:21 AM Back before the 6th season came out,I knew that would be one of the cover pix but actually thought that it would be the 7th season yet I didn't know about the one they put on the 7th season

Pavan 09-18-2006, 12:02 AM I got a copy of S8 for review. Look for the review soon. All the episodes are unedited...I checked. Charming Stranger doesn't zoom if in you know what I mean. Extras also are good. Bloopers and Working with the Master especially. Details in the review.
comedyfreak 09-18-2006, 02:39 AM I'm going to be sure and get my copy, I've really enjoyed every season.
Chain Gang Member 09-18-2006, 08:26 AM I saw the commercial for it last night and isn't it odd that they only showed commercials for the 1st and last seasons of Three's Company and not any others
Buffyboy323 09-25-2006, 12:10 PM The Season 8 Covere Art is my favorite from all the collections. i can't wait. Next week they are releasing the set at best Buy for $17.99, and when you buy it, you get another Three's Company set FREE!!!!- So be sure to pick up any missing sets. I have to get Seasons 3, 5, 6 and 7. I'm going with 5 next week.

Pavan 09-28-2006, 10:22 AM I have also put the review on my website:
The Three's Company Season 8 DVD Review is now up for reading on my website. Please read it and order the DVD, if you have not already. The set is great and it is a great way to end the series on DVD. Also, I have started a campaign to push DLT and Anchor Bay to release the spin-offs on DVD. Your comments to them will be very helpful, so please e-mail them. To find out how, click on the review on my website, by clicking on the DVD section:

TV DVD Fan 09-28-2006, 02:32 PM About the 30th Anniversary Special "missing" extra:
Is it possible that the John Ritter tribute is the "anniversary", and it's just a promotional gimmick; not much of an anniversary though, only two people are interviewed!
I wouldn't think they'd start putting easter eggs on all of a sudden on the last set! But wishful thinking! We'd all appreciate it if you can spot it though if it really does exist!
Pavan 09-28-2006, 02:34 PM Just found out from Anchor Bay that the 30-Year Reunion Special is actually John Ritter: Working with a Master feature. Strange promotion.
TV DVD Fan 09-28-2006, 04:45 PM Figures; anything that may provoke the potential customer to buy the product.
Buffyboy323 09-29-2006, 02:55 AM Nice review Pav. I really can't wait for the set. So the 10th is the date, not the 3rd?
Pavan 09-29-2006, 10:01 AM Where does it say the 10th? It is the 3rd.
Buffyboy323 09-29-2006, 05:15 PM As I've stated a few months ago, the release date for S8 is October 10, 2006. For full info, check out my website's news section:

Buffyboy323 09-30-2006, 12:08 PM The Amazon link says the release date is Oct. 3rd.
Yeah, I know. I was just wondering what pav was talking about in the earlier post.
Heidi Dawn 09-30-2006, 01:24 PM I think www.amazon.ca forgot to change the date. It's still listing s8 of Three's Company for release on Oct. 10 while www.futureshop.ca has the date listed for Oct. 3. I'm confused, is the final season being released in Canada on the 3rd or the 10th of October.
Jeff003 09-30-2006, 06:18 PM I saw it early at my local Fyes store today.I couldn't believe it.They only had 1 copy.It was $26.I'm holding out till Tuesday Oct 3rd and getting it at Bestbuy for $19 and get another season free.I never did get S7 so I will pick that one up with 8.
Heidi Dawn 10-11-2006, 07:48 PM I went to Future Shop on Saturday and they had 6 copies of season 8. When I went to pay for my copy, it was on sale for $10 off (a nice suprise), I paid $31 Canadian. The other stores didn't get their copies until yesterday.
robyrob 02-15-2007, 11:41 PM just wanted to spread the news that Deep Discount DVD has seasons 2 through 8
on sale at $17.99 each AND buy one, get one FREE with FREE SHIPPING
(so you could get 6 seasons for $53.94)
i don't know how much longer this sale is on, so take advantage of it while it lasts!
