4. My Mom originally wanted a daughter when she was pregnant for me, so she went out and bought a bunch of dresses and girl clothes. Instead of wasting them after I was born, one day she dressed me up in them to see what I'd look like as a girl. Some guy ended up coming to the door selling something or something and told her she had a lovely daughter. Yep.

5. I once ate a sandwich on the toilet because someone here on SO asked if anyone had before.

6. I'm more obsessed with Power Rangers at age 20 than I was at age 8, which says alot, cause I was pretty obsessed back then.

8. I dislike Summer. Its too hot and bugs are crap.

9. I lived in Orlando, Florida briefly in 1993.

23. My friend and I were riding in shopping carts in the K Mart parking lot once and almost rolled off this huge hill and died, but stopped it just in time.

LOL. It's true. I didn't feel like seeing the person that rang my doorbell, but my cousin let him in. I was in the middle of eating Taco Bell, so I took it into the bathroom and ate it while I was on the toilet. My cousin took a picture of that. :lol:

I WANNA PLAY

Anyways..

1. My name is Lauren. I've never had a nickname, but for some reason my parents have always called me Liz. It never struck me odd that they call me by my middle name [Elizabeth] until recently. They've just always called me that..
2. I'm indecisive and my opinions regarding certain topics change daily. Seriously. I have no basis of belief so I just sort of think about things too much.
3. I hate all celebrities. They make me angry. Moreover, I hate celebrity gossip and such.
4. The only actor that I like in the least bit is Topher Grace just because I find him inexplicably amusing. Thinking about him right now is making me laugh out loud. I was DYING watching him in Traffic.
5. The only show I watch anymore is That 70s Show. I loved Gilmore Girls for a few months and now I HATE it all of the sudden. It drives me insane.
6. I've concluded that 'Everybody Makes Mistakes' by Shearwater is the greatest album ever. Whenever I listen to it I am literally in tears, it's pathetic.
7. My favorite band is Okkervil River. I like them because all of their songs end up punching you in the stomach. Atlest emotionally. They always have something in every one of their songs that just KILLS you. Like the end of Westfall.

9. I call my parents by a wide variety of names. I have a new name for them every month. Lately I've been calling my mom Julie and my dad pappy. But for a while I'd just call my mom 'YA HORSE' because she once got offended when I called her whore.

1. I suffer from anxiety and depression and I'm not ashamed to admit it. The depression is recent but the anxiety has been with me forever.

10. I was homesick for a whole semester my first year of college. I literally begged my dad to let me drop out and come home, but he wouldn't let me. He told me I had to stay a semester; I stayed the whole year.

11. There are two kids on my dad's side of the family. I'm the smartest, I never get/got in trouble, I got straight A's, graduated from college...and I still wasn't anywhere near the fav. Not even on equal ground. Now though my one uncle has come to my side because he hates my cousin.

12. Cats scare the :censored: out of me. My aunt's one cat is the only one I'm not freaked out of because she's sweet.

13. I hate going into banks and gas stations because I fear I'll get caught in a robbery. Pay at the Pump was the best invention ever.

14. I'm always writing stories in my head, but getting them on paper is a chore.

15. I've been to several NASCAR races. I'm the one cheering really loud to piss off the Jeff Gordon haters...whom I despise. Anyone who boos a driver needs to get a damn life.

1. I have this talent where I can pull out a random date from the air. If I'm at a gathering with a bunch of people and they talk about an event that happened and they can't remember the date, they ask me. Chances are, I remember the date. This applies to registration dates here on SO. I've busted quite a few people here with this talent.

2. I skipped the first grade and graduated from high school at 17.

3. I have one hell of a memory. I can remember things that happened when I was a REALLY young child, nearly 20 years ago.

4. By the time I was in the third grade, I was already reading books geared towards high school kids. A year or two later, adults.

Yay, I love these sorts of threads :D I'm enjoying reading all of the responses.

1.) My favorite actor is Jake Gyllenhaal and I have almost every movie with him in it. I usually love actors that are quirky and pick meaningful roles (and not just for the pretty face, although it's such a bonus that he does have one! :D ) Other actors I love: John Ritter, Topher Grace, Leonardo DiCaprio, and to a lesser extent Johnny Depp.

2.) I love being around people who are open-minded and funny. I don't think I'd get along with someone who I felt I had to be closed up around. I like people who are quirky and have personality. Like someone else here mentioned, I can't stand people who have no personality...it just bugs me.

3.) I love fall! I really can't get enough of it. I love the crisp air, the leaves changing color, wearing bulky clothes, and my favorite holiday Halloween is in fall. I can't stand being hot and sweaty, and fall seems to be the perfect temperature for me.

4.) I have a soft spot for guys with dark hair and light blue eyes. It's so... :drool:

A bit late, but better late than never, right? Well, I have typed a list, so, here it is:

1. I am the older sister (it's just to two of us), yet my sister has experienced many things before me which makes me feel like the younger sister. I'm no longer miserable over that like I used to be.

2. Previously to January 2006, I have never ever exercised or worked out (P.E. doesn't count) because I was lazy and unmotivated. Since January, I am hooked on step aerobics and recreational walking, and now I feel awkward if I don't, at least, walk during the late evenings.

3. I have a form of separation anxiety where I am psychologically easily affected towards certain people.

4. I think I may have a form of depression. I feel I can be fine with life situations one day and the next day I am miserable. In June/July 2005, I was recommended this great book in helping deal with miserable feelings in a rational manner. I was getting better with the miserable feelings. However, I crumbled on what I learned all this time during this summer. But... I am slowly getting back up and regaining what I have learned. It's very helpful stuff!

5. I have loved Ace of Base since June 14th or 15th, 1994, but I liked them since around October 1993. That is nearly 13 years, and they are still somewhat part of my life.

6. Over the last nearly 13 years, I have a huge worldwide collection consisting of CD albums, CD maxi singles, CD singles, audio cassettes with radio interviews and special radio mixes, worldwide VHS tapes (music videos, interviews, TV specials, concerts, performances, etc), books, posters, magazine/newspaper articles, stamps, badges, postcards, and autographs from three members.

7. Ace of Base is the only celebrity I have ever met, thusfar.

8. It took me 10 years before I saw a member of Ace of Base in person (Jenny Berggren) in July 2004, but it wasn't until 11 years (October 2005) that I actually had a chance to talk/meet with three of the four members (Jonas and Jenny Berggren and Ulf Ekberg).

12. I was born with a lazy eye, and I wore glasses during my toddler years up through shortly before my 18th birthday. I couldn't see far away with my glasses, so I begged my parents to stop wearing them. They finally let me abandon them.

13. I feel I am quite a misunderstood person. I really like to befriend people and try to be there for them and everything, but I seem to have unfortunate events. These seem to fall under the same pattern. No matter which method I use.

14. I am studying for my Bachelor's of Science. I may have about a couple more years left.

:lol: Try about 4,000 miles away. That's what I did to see Ace of Base live in Antwerp, Belgium in late October 2005! The airline ticket costed a heck of a lot more than the concerts themselves. But, it was well worth it! :D

12. I've been obsessed with Family Ties ever since it was in it's original run. Most children don't get into regular tv shows until they are older. I doubt there were many other elementary students who watched FT or any other show regularly and then became sad when it went off the air.

12. I disagree with this. I think grade school children can be as attached to a television show as a teen or adult. I was really sad when CBS cancelled the original Charles In Charge in 1985.

and for John Stamos, he happened to be a really nice guy; not an arrogant *****, or stuck up; he wa very down to earth, etc. I was impress how kind he was towards the fans; mean while the others were completely indifferent. Dave Coulier seemed cool too..

I have seen Stamos in person too, and he is incredibly good looking. :cool:

18. When sending a text message, I don't use "txtspk" or other short forms. My brain just refuses to allow me to do that to the language.
19. I keep the air conditioner on 60 degrees, even in winter.
20. I physically can't tolerate high pitched sounds. Once when one went off near me, I grabbed a chair and ripped it from the ceiling and threw it across the room.

I can't eat somewhere that cooks on an open cooking surface that uses visible flames - I freak and have to leave. Open flames scare the bejeezus out of me.
