I netflixed the 1940 film "Boom Town" a few days ago, and featured on the dvd was a one-reel comedy short called "Hollywood Hobbies" written by none other than our Buddy!

If anyone is interested, it's a pretty funny little short film featuring a TON of classic Hollywood stars captured in "candid" moments, but I mostly enjoyed it knowing I was getting a little taste of Morey Amsterdam as a writer, instead of a performer for once.

I've seen this short many times but never realized it was written by MA. It also features Bowery Boy Billy Benedict as the 'tour guide'. What cracks me up is when it shows Gable whitewashing his barn, and BB says, 'That's his hobby!' What a boring hobby that must've been-painting everything white! Guess Gable was easily entertained...
