View Full Version : I Hate... digitalmonkey 07-27-2006, 10:12 PM stinky DVD cases. puke: gilligan fanatic 07-27-2006, 10:45 PM I don't go around sniffing them, but I don't think I have ever had a smelly one. digitalmonkey 07-27-2006, 10:50 PM I have a few, we can arrange a trade if you're interested. ;) gilligan fanatic 07-27-2006, 11:05 PM will PAL cases work on a NTSC shelf ;) loren 07-28-2006, 12:11 AM will PAL cases work on a NTSC shelf ;) good question, and since i dont have the answer i just toss them all in the trash i hate dvd cases Lamont 07-28-2006, 12:16 AM well usually all of my discs go out stinky i make it a point to rub them in my underarms for 30 seconds each :mrtarver: just a little extra touch that lamont does to make my discs stand out from the rest RedWhine56 07-28-2006, 12:23 AM well usually all of my discs go out stinky i make it a point to rub them in my underarms for 30 seconds each :mrtarver: just a little extra touch that lamont does to make my discs stand out from the rest Just so long as no sheep are involved. RedWhine56 07-28-2006, 09:57 AM - When someone goes against clearly stated TOS (no selling, no trading for blanks) & asks for ~75 discs worth of shows, when they have nothing to trade. - When someone asks for 29 discs worth of shows & has nothing you want in return, so you tell them "sorry, there's nothing on your list I want - good luck" and the next day, they ask again. - When a newbie you've turned down 4 times (in the previous 4 weeks), pulls up a quote from one of your posts about "I've done trades before that I otherwise would not have, because the trader was a newbie & didn't have much I wanted from them. I don't MIND helping others who are starting out or who want shows I have. " and then asks "just wondered what you do in trying to maybe help get someone some shows on dvd starting out and all. " in an [apparent] attempt to force/guilt/strong arm a trade. These are sure fire ways to insure the trader will never trade with you and to be added to their block/ignore list. I realize it's hard to get started in trading. But it's also a topic that has been discussed here several times (including in the past month). I don't think any of the above tactics were offered up as suggestions. lilhave 07-28-2006, 10:35 AM stinky DVD cases. puke: I'm pretty lucky. There is a 99 cent shop where I live and they sell plastic sleeves, 50 and double sided, for a buck. Do all my storage and my trades using them. Take up little space in the house and I can put more in a envelope then previously when I used folded copy machine paper. Janice 07-28-2006, 10:58 AM - When someone goes against clearly stated TOS (no selling, no trading for blanks) & asks for ~75 discs worth of shows, when they have nothing to trade. Members can sell as long as they don't make threads or posts about it. Is that right? Lamont 07-28-2006, 11:01 AM selling is not allowed on the board however if 2 members set up a sale via email OFF THE BOARD that is between them only HOWEVER some traders do not sell at all and state so and i think redwhine was refereing to that b/c i know she does not sell ever I CAN SECOND her on that issue i get people who email me a list and i decline 3 days later they email me the same list ????? hello???? if u get something new then ask again if not then how can they expect a different reply? RedWhine56 07-28-2006, 11:01 AM Members can sell as long as they don't make threads or posts about it. Is that right? I believe that's correct. Personally, I have chosen to never sell but do not think any less of others who do, since that's how many of us got our collections started (by buying). Janice 07-28-2006, 11:04 AM selling is not allowed on the board however if 2 members set up a sale via email OFF THE BOARD that is between them only That's what I meant, as long as it's done off the boards....it's not against the rules. RedWhine56 07-28-2006, 11:06 AM Members can sell as long as they don't make threads or posts about it. Is that right? OH, and what I meant is that my trade list clearly states in bold, red letters that I never sell or trade for blanks. Janice 07-28-2006, 11:12 AM OH, and what I meant is that my trade list clearly states in bold, red letters that I never sell or trade for blanks. I was confused because of your statement, When someone goes against clearly stated TOS (no selling, no trading for blanks). RedWhine56 07-28-2006, 11:13 AM I was confused because of your statement, When someone goes against clearly stated TOS (no selling, no trading for blanks). Those are my personal TOS. TVFactFan 07-28-2006, 11:16 AM I Hate when Traders are AFRAID to turn you down after making a trade offer. Just tell me I'm not interested and I will say "OK" |
