Can anyone tell me if James Quinn is an honorable person? I sent him $40 for 3 tv shows 3 weeks ago and he said give him 3-4 weeks but they're not nearly done yet. Is he reliable? Just checking. Thanks.

Correction. This is a "seller" check. His prices are as high as most of us have ever seen (of course, you already know that), but he'll come through. Sometimes it will take awhile though.

said the same thing to me, three to four weeks. Three months latter I got it after I hounded him for the last month of that.

I don't think dope is the right word, maybe misinformed. I did this almost two years ago before I ever did a trade. I didn't know what was up.

Actually, he will trade if it's something he really wants. He starts out in emails about trading, then it quickly changes to "I changed my mind". Your best bet is to hold your ground if you sense he wants something you have and you know he can't find it elsewhere.

Well I learned that you have to let him send first in order to get what you want. I never bought anything off him because of the things i heard, taking 3 months to give people their tapes. Hopefully everything turns out ok

i tried to swap with him 20 times, and i never had anything he would swap for

even though his holdings are usualy scatered partials

and i had thousands of eps that he didnt have

in the same sets we were talking about


ill certainly go without before i deal with someone like that

i blocked his email a long time ago, when i sorted out my old email account a couple days ago

there must ahve been 40 emails from him trying to sell me stuff

and this is after i emailed him and said

then all of a sudden--- he by some miracle, doesnt need them anymore

and his are then for sale at $30 for two hours

even though he has like 30 of the 180 eps from a set, and i have 170 of the 180

ya he doesnt need them anymore, after telling me an hour previous he did

i got real tired of that after a while and block his efforts

the first thing i did on my new email account was run the block file of loosers, scammers, and in general, pain in the shorts people

quinncy was right near the top of the list

I bought something from him & I was very clear about what I wanted in multiple emails. The tape arrived and it was the wrong thing. Turns out he did not have the original item I wanted, but he did send me a 2nd choice with no extra cost to me. I've heard others complain about the time to receive items, but mine arrived in about 2 or 3 weeks. (Still a bit long, but not months.)

Oh, and I am happy with the 2nd choice item. It was a MUCH better copy of a show that I already had a lousy copy of.

I was just kidding, I know you can take the ribs and dish em out too. You like many others here have different opinions and sometimes they don't always match mine but a great debate does not always breed animosity, there certainly is none on my end and I know none on yours either.

you see, the joke is that for those outlandishly high prices
the material had better be incredibly rare
something so rare, that people would be willing to pay $50 for a 2nd or 3rd generation vhs tape

so you see, loren was taking that to an outrageous extreme for comedic purposes
by stating that he would be willing to pay high prices for items, which obviously do not exist on recorded film of any type
such as the final moments of hitlers life

and you see, i was being sarcastic in my reply claiming that i had footage of the UFO crash at roswell

and you see, loren was being humorous with his reply that i was confused

and so, for purposes of making an outrageous claim even sillier, i added details such as the existence of an experimental beta camcorder and
the crash being filmed from INSIDE THE UFO

by adding that i bought these off quincy, i was taking the entire humorous exchange, full circle-- thus closing it out in a circular fashion

Many, like you, are under the false assumption that they do not exist, but I have the very footage of which you speak AND w.o.c.! Ironically (actually coincidently-damn that Alanis Morissette), the Hitler footage includes a promo that I believe is (it's in German) a PSA about suicide. Although I'm not sure which side it supports as the music appears to be the theme from M*A*S*H (aka Suicide is Painless) which is odd because I didn't think it was written until a quarter century later.
