how come when they advertise for FOL they always have a late season one with beverly ann, cloris leachman? it just doesn't make sense to me considering the start of it came from mrs. garrett, charlotte rae!

That's not true. It's been on ME-TV (in Chicago) and Comcast-on-Demand (as of the end of July). It just hasn't been on cable since 2002.

Well I live in Quebec and they have that channel on 2 satellite carriers, so I'm out of luck too :(

I had never even heard of this channel until this post, however it seems it's all over Canada. Sad to be missing out.

and cts has been very popular, i guess i hear a lot about it becuase of degrassi... but i guess this is a pretty happening channel in canada, so it's pretty cool to see fol is on it!

I checked CTS' official line-up (http://www.ctstv.com/pdf/FALL2006.pdf) and it appears that FOL will air at 7:30pm (Eastern time) before Step By Step and Fresh Prince, which are also two new shows coming to CTS this Fall. It's a shame that I don't have this channel. I'm also envious of the fact that FOL is going to be aired in the evening. The last time I remember FOL airing in the U.S. was when Nick at Nite aired it, more than a half decade ago!

IIRC, Degrassi airs on CTV (not CTS). However, you were right about when networks pick-up FOL they usually advertise with photos of the cast in the later seasons. In CTS' case, they've already started advertising with a season 8 photo:

Here's some information about The Facts Of Life:

FOL will air Monday to Friday at 7:30pm eastern time on CTS TV.
We will start with season one episode #101 "Rough Housing" and run
trough all seasons to episode to #924 "The Beginning of The End pt. 2"
We will be airing digitally re-mastered episodes that are the
syndicated version.
We don't have any plans at the moment to run the TV movies.
