Who looks like a couple in love, the couple in the first picture or the couple in the second one?

I choose pic #2 Lucy and Desi looked so young and love with there future together.

couple number 2 of course because that was a professionally done one. The first one looks like they just stepped out of the car so of course they don't look all in love.

Who looks like a couple in love, the couple in the first picture or the couple in the second one?
Considering the picture of Lucy with Desi was a studio picture and the one with Gary was a candid picture, it's not a fair comparison. I think she loved Desi when she was with him, and Gary when she was with him. All that "Desi was the love of my life" was manufactured to keep that Lucy and Desi mystique going. They both moved on.

Wait, how can we choose from two different pics when one is obviously a red-carpet type photo, pure candid and the other is obviously a studio shot? Of course Desi and Lucy look in love in their pic, it is a professional pic made to look that way. Lucy and Gary looked SHOCKED. Not prepared to have a photo taken.

But after reading everything about them for over half a century and talking to people who knew them back then, i think they were the loves of each other's lives although Brian is right, some of it was manufactured by press agents i'm sure. I think Gary and Edie were more safe quiet companions who accepted their faults who did the job when Lucy and Desi realized they just could not keep on living together and their union then lasted till the day they died as they no longer fought or had to put up with the things that aggravated them while they were together.

I thought we were supposed to look at the pictures, then answer the question that was asked in the poll question (below). From the replies, that's what everyone thought also.

Too bad they couldn't use a different picture for Lucy & Gary. But I have a feeling everyone would still pick her & Desi. That's my choice too.

Of course #2!! Lucy and Desi never faked it, even when they were red hot mad at each other. In the pic with Gary, Lucy looks like a scared cat and its not because she wasn't expecting photographers, that woman expected it wherever she went!
