Hey, I'm gonna compose a song for this movie me anf my friends are gonna make. It's about broken relationships, "gangs" who've split up, people who are here today, gone tomorrow. And I am gonna write and sing a song just for this movie. And I need some ideas writing it.

This will be used for the flashback scenes.

So far I've only written the chorus but not the verses.

I was in the dark,
'till I found the light,
than I could believe,
you were still there for me.
I was in the dark,
'till I found the light,
than my eyes could see,
that even in the dark,
you were loving me.

Anybody got any ideas? :)

for the verses, try to base each one on a part of the main topic (however many you want is up to you of course). it's kind of like writing an essay; writing a paragraph for every reason you feel the way you do about the subject; only it's using verses to elaborate on aspects of the subject of a song.

I always try to rhyme the second line and the last line of my verses. ex:

Still off the beaten path
No where left to go
When will I find myself
I guess I'll never know.
