The Bradys running through the Amusement Park trying to get that Skectch to their DAD-lol Damm I watched that scene like 12 Times Today. Alice had a lot of moves

BTW: When Peter and Greg was running through the Park I noticed a lot of people sitting on the benches LAUGHING their ass off-lol

I found it incredibly corny. A big ass amusement park and by coincidence, they kept on bumping into each other.

I was joking Brian-lol I know it was a corny and in real life they probably wouldn't have seen each but I just liked the way they were running in and out of all the people in the park.

I didn't notice them holding hands at all. And why did Jan buy a Giraffe poster?!? At her age she should've bought a poster of her favorite rock band or something. lol

The poster was gift for someone Jan babysat for I think.

I love the opening act to the My Fair Lady episode where Marcia walks through the house in a right mood. Love the music they use to start the act with. Its one of my favourite musical cues.

I could be wrong, but I thought it was the money she earned while babysitting, not to buy a poster for someone she baby sat.

This episode seems like an expanded remake of "Call Me Irresponsible" from season 2.

Recently on S5 I got to this episode (Cincinnati Kids). It seems to be a fave here but I really did not like it. The voice work is horribly overdubbed (as usual) making each person sound 3 octaves higher, the "Marge" character is meh, the plot with giraffe posters, yogi posters, Mikes plans; so highly predictable and silly, Cindy and Bobby not supposed to eat junk food was "OK" but with all the love for this episode... I just don't see it. One of my least faves now:(

If they showed a poster of a rock band or something like that, they probably would have to pay that band for the usage. Though it would have been funny to see Jan pull out a Black Sabbath poster.

Of course, she could always have gotten a poster of The Egg Beaters, or Elsie and the Five Baboons (a couple of fictional bands mentioned in one of the episodes)..

Where is King's Island?

It's the name of the theme park in Cincinnati, hence the name of the episode "The Cincinnati Kids"

Here is the official theme park site BTW www2.paramountparks.com/kingsisland/ (http://av.rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A9ibyJ5jMMhEDTsBrF1rCqMX;_ylu=X3oDMTBvdmM3bGlxBHBndANhdl93ZWJfcmVzdWx0BHNlYwNzcg--/SIG=11vvmg5n7/EXP=1154056675/**http%3a//www2.paramountparks.com/kingsisland/)

For the record Paramount has another park called King's Dominion which is about 30 minutes from my house. They also have a park called "Cananda's Wonderland", we went there for a marching band trip two years ago. Never been to King's Island though.

I visited Kings Island in 1978 and Kings Dominion in 1995, just one visit to each park.

I lived in Cincinnati from '82-89 and had season passes to King's Island. The park changed a lot from the time the episode was filmed until I lived there. It is funny to have them get the word out that they need to find the plans, find them, and get them to the main gate in 10 minutes -- isn't that how much time the decision makers had before they had to catch their plane to New York?

When Jan bought the poster, she made a comment about all the babysitting money she had made. I don't have the episode (but saw it last week(?) on TV Land). I had the impression that she bought the poster for a kid she babysat, with the comment meaning that she was going to use the money the parents paid her to buy a gift for the kid.

And a few comments about the Grand Canyon episodes:

1. The kids get all excited about the pop-up camper -- but when they showed it set up in the ghost town, there were also a few tents. Who slept in the pop-up? And you would think the kids sitting in the rear facing seat would have noticed the pop-up was not connected to the hitch when they got in the car (when they were leaving home).

2. My kids complain about the two of them sharing the back seat of out SUV. The Bradys had three people in each seat -- with Greg, Peter, and Jan(?) in the far back facing backwards. We had a '67 Chevy station wagon when I was a kid and the seat in the back of our car comfortably sat about 1 1/2 people. Did the kids rotate seats? Did they edit out all of the "she's on my side of the seat" arguments? I have never paid that close of attention except when they leave the driveway.

It's possible that they decided to keep it due to its association with the Brady Bunch episode.

Imagine the look on people's faces when they travel 2,000 to play the football toss game 'as seen on the Brady Bunch' ,only to find that it's not there anymore?

Not easy to pull THAT off!

Some of the funnier scenes I like involve...Jan...of course..

In the Clark Tyson episode, when she imitates Marcia "slinking in" to the family room... she cracks me up every time I see that one...

And when she goes to buy the wig (Marcia Wallace is the saleslady)... "I want something crazy...kind of like the wig YOU'RE wearing"

Or (talking about the 'Midnight Temptress" wig)... "I don't think I'll be up that late".

Or when she goes to the drug store to see if the druggist can do something about "her friend's" freckles...

Druggist: I can see these freckles are a real problem for...your friend
Jan: They're RUINING HER LIFE!

Beautiful delivery of all these lines!

ALL LINES FROM "THE DRUMMER BOY" WITH REGARDS TO BOBBY'S DRUMSET ARE AMONG THE FUNNIEST COMEDY I HAVE EVER HEARD!

Bobby: "I picked my instrument!!!! I'll go tell everybody!"

Alice: "What instrument did he pick?"

Carol: "Behold...........(Alice looks surprised at the drums in the back of the car.)

Alice: DRUMS???!!!

Carol: " It's done wonders for his moral."

Alice: "I'm not so sure what it's gonna do for OUR moral."

Carol: "His music teacher said he had exactly the right qualifications."

Alice: "Oh, what qualifications does a kid need to play drums?"

Carol: "A mother with a station wagon!!!

(As Bobby bangs away on the drums in any scene.)

"Alice: "I hate to see at Mrs. Brady, the more I hear Bobby play the more I'm convinced that drumsticks are for turkeys!"

Carol: "Alice..........Bobby hasn't improved at all has he?"

Alice: "Mrs. Brady, everyday he plays just a little worse than the day before. And today he's playing like tomorrow!!!"

Carol: "It really means a lot to Bobby. He was so upset about not getting into the glee club. Now he's so happy to be doing something musical."

Jan: "MUSICAL???!!!"

Greg: (to Marcia) "Aren't you gonna study anymore?"

Marcia: "Yea, under the hair dryer! It'll be quieter there!"

(talking to Bobby in between breaks) Bobby: "I'm getting good. I'll get even better with more practicing!:

Carol: "MORE PRACTICING!!!???"

Bobby: "Some guys practice eight hours a day!"

******************

Bobby: "Well, I know how much you wanted me to be a drummer, but would you be too dissapointed if I quit."

Miike: "Quit the drums?"

Carol: Forever!!?? (hahahahaha)

Then after they say that it's ok to do things you aren't required to do. Bobby goes. "That really makes it neato! There's another kid in school, George and he wants to be a drummer."

Mike: "Well I'm sure Goerge won't mind you giving up the drums for him."

Bobby: "Yea, he's gonna play the drums, and I'm gonna play his instrument."

Mike " "His instrument?!"

Bobby: "He loaned it to me so I could try it!" (Bobby takes it out, Carol gasps)

Carol "THE BUGLE!!!" (hahahaha)

Bobby:"Yea, listen to this!!" He blows some notes turning blue in the face. Mike says (very quietly) "I think he's gonna hurt himself!"

**********************************

Than about 5:30 in the morning he's trying to play his bugle outside waking Mike and Carol up.

Carol: "Mike, is that Bobby?"

Mike: "It's not Gabrielle. I think he's trying to play Revelry."

Carol: "You're not going to get up are you?"

Mike: "Just long enough to tie a knot in his bugle!"

Hey Studd!

Sup? Doing good. Check out the DVD restoration scenes list. (The one that I posted in yesterday for answers to your questions about the pool episode, "The Hustler.") While it's not one of my favorite episodes, Bobby's dream sequence in it is pretty cool.
